All 22 on Biadasz?

He’s very good at run blocking when he can fire off and attack the opposing front 7. He has good upper body strength and has a strong intellectual grasp of the game which is huge for a center. His problem is that he has below average athleticism for an NFL OL and struggles in pass protection. A key for an interior OL is the ability to move their feet well to maintain leverage and thus maintain upper body strength, because the guys they are blocking generally are bull rushing them and trying to get them off balance. Against good interior DL he struggles with this. He ends up on his heels any gets pushed back because he loses leverage.

sounds a lot Frederick in his first two years. Not saying Tyler is is Travis but similar scouting report. Travis did get much better at pass blocking but it took him a few.

Nonsense. Biadasz is clearly a 9 at run blocking minimum. No way we rush for 200 yards the last 4 games without him. EVERY play the center of the line is pushed out and there are huge holes.

Funny how Steele gets a pass for improving, but Biadasz gets hammered for 2 or 3 bad plays all year against the best DT's in the NFL.

In only his 7th start mind you. Steele looked all world terrible in his 7th start last year.

I’m not grading on a curve. Steele grades higher than a pass and higher than Biadasz because he’s been better. Plan and simple.

Steele has faced Bosa, Barrett and Burns so hardly scrubs. And it’s not 2-3 bad plays, Biadasz has given up 11 pressures prior to the Giants game while Steele had give up 6 (one less game) and Biadasz has not been as good in the run game as Steele either.

Biadasz is blazing the run game at center. Killing it. Biadasz gave up 7 pressures I believe in the very first game. Still hasnt give up a sack or had a holding call. So thats what................4 pressures in the last 4 games? Sounds pretty good to me. And we have been averaging 200 rushing yards per game during that time with Biadasz at center running things.

I like steele, but what did Steel look like in his first 7 games? Not like Biadasz, thats for sure.

He's a good run blocker, he can bet beat in pass pro. The A-Gap between he and Williams is the weakest part of the OL.

That said, the Cowboys are a top running team and one of the top offenses. While I hope to find improvement everywhere, staring at his weaknesses is a bit nit-picky.
We throw as well as or better than we do running the ball. We need guys who can block for both. He needs to up his game or OC will be a high draft need in ‘22.

This team is stacked including the oline. We have great problems with great depth

I suspect that Martin may be helping Steele quite a bit, and therefore can't help inside. I'm not positive there but it's worth a thought.

MM made a reference to that but I haven't noticed a lot of helping Steele. Some here and there, but no more than helping Biadasz.

I'll be interested to see how the 2022 draft plays out. There are 2-3 centers with round 1-2 grades but I don't think it's an especially strong draft class for centers. I can see a mid-round pick being sent on one, but there's plenty of time for him to dissuade folks from needing to do that.

I would like to see that. My opinions have been reactionary. I'm watching him when he messes up. I'm definitely not someone who would even know what to look for on a 22. But, I'd love to see someone do it.

Here's a few questions a proper evaluation could try to answer, too. What is the learning curve for an NFL center? What is that transition like from college to the pros? Where is Biadasz on that curve?
I have a lot of questions about him too. I had read a few articles about him during the days after he was drafted and I was impressed and concerned. I remember one of the articles that said his run blocking grade was the highest of any OL in college ever. Yes, his run blocking was even higher than Fredericks grade. The articles also mentioned that his pass blocking was not too good. The most concerning part of the articles was the information on the hip injury that he had and the amount of time it was going to take to recover. From my understanding, he was still limited somewhat by his hip going into last season. They did say that recovery was very gradual over 2-3 years before he should return to his pre-injury form if he was able to return to at all. I had high hopes for him returning and reaching his maximum improvement this year, but I have not read any current information on him. It seems like he is hit and miss now. I hope somebody has the time to take a look at the all22 and give us a rundown on where he is at now.

Every game. Save for a few pressures he allowed early in the year from the best DT's in the game he is been spot on. And who do you think is leading the charge in the run game pushing the middle of the line?

Biadasz strength is his run blocking and its now 4 games in a row averaging 200 yards on the ground. Its no coincidence that our Oline and running game resurgence has happened the moment we got a REAL center back in here.
He has consistently been a weak link. It’s not just one game.

Williams is a 5-year starter. I love how people get triggered and bent out of shape hearing that.

Williams is every bit as good or better than the Giants’ OG Hernandez.
I don’t know how Williams is a 5th year player if he is still on his rookie deal and isn’t a first round player but maybe I missed something.

Fred was a way better player at the same stage of their careers. I don’t know how you can even try to say otherwise, but everyone is entitled to their opinion on the matter.

Biadasz needs to improve his snaps.

Or Dak should play under center more. I think that’s better anyways (see Tom Brady).

We should be killing teams with play-action given how strong our running game is.

I dont remember thinking Fred was a Pro Bowler a year and 4 games into his career.

Either he or Williams need to be upgraded in the off season. Those two are both accidents waiting to happen.
Williams is a FA
So he will be replaced
Whether that’s an upgrade or not is unknown
But while I would give CW a second contract he is a pretty solid guard on an oline rushing 200 yards a game

Enjoyed reading all the assessments.

We’re fine for the year as long as we stay healthy.
