I wasn't the biggest fan of McCarhty...not sure if I still am but he's bringing results. I'm interested in seeing how far he can take this team. I'd have to think he, Kingsbury and Staley have to be front runners for Coach of the Year.....

Fat Mike got us rolling you haters……

Chicken or the egg, though? What is Big Mike's record with franchise/HOF QBs and what is his record without them?

To be fair, try this argument with all Super Bowl winning coaches. Even the so-called GOAT Belichick is amazing with Brady and looks like Dave Campo with anyone else (mostly).

Many here don't think Dak is a franchise QB, so they must think MM is a God.

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy on team topping 300 passing yards, 200 rushing yards in same game for first time since 1983: "It's a heck of a milestone. ...We're not short on production, but our efficiency needs to be better. That's what we are focused on."

I was proud of Zeke getting back out there after that back injury right away and scoring a TD for my fantasy team. The kid is tough as nails no doubt about it.

I think Garrett and staff coached very well in 2014 and 2016 and give them credit for the job done then.

That said, if it continues, I think McCarthy and this staff is the best coaching I've seen in over 20 years. I'm not certain that Parcells' staffs were this good (although tough to compare, I think the talent of this team from 2003-2006 was very poor).

Relatively. I think Garrett coached as well as he can. However, the problems with his coaching philosophy held those teams back from greater success.

To be fair. Those ligament strains are hard to knock down an exact time. He has to fend off 300+ pound dudes with that arm.
Yeah and plus I mean there's really no rush. The team seems to be moving well without him. Same goes for Lawrence. No point in rushing them back in a 17 game season.

Yeah when I saw him go down I thought he was hurt worse. Got up and dusted it off and came back in for a sweet fake hand off and catch. A little high step and 6.

Garrett system has nothing to do with Landry's process. Landry was an innovator on both offense and defense and he was also and X and Os type of guy.

Garrett was neither. Garrett's system was nothing more than a rehash of the 90s Cowboys. No need for improvisation, innovations and preparation. Just beat your man one on one and were good.

Garrett was nothing more than a glorified high school football coach that got his coaching gig because he was a good friend of the Joneses. Nothing more.

Excellent description of what Garrett was as a HC.
