Dallas has a unique opportunity to use Parsons and Diggs in combination. All by himself, Parsons is a wrecking ball. Offenses need to account for him at all times, and make sure that he is adequately blocked. Diggs will eventually be treated as a shutdown corner, who needs to be avoided , and can take away almost half the defensive backfield in terms of targets. As long as Diggs and Parsons line up on the same side, (Diggs will likely be tracking the offenses' top receiver), a Parsons blitz will dictate that the QB throws into the blitz, right? Well, Diggs is waiting. If the QB realizes it, and double clutches, Parsons will likely get a sack. Overload a blitz including Parsons on Diggs side, and that could be devastating.
As for the other side of the defense, players "stay home" and even put an extra defender opposite Parsons and Diggs, to stifle any ideas of running away from the strength of our most talented players.
So, offenses are faced with a choice, gain yards vs our greatest talents, or grind out yards against the overloaded side. Good luck!
