If you don’t let players develop you never get to see what they are capable of
People wanted Steele cut and make him walk home last year, not they want to trade Collins and make him the starter
I get that but come on man if the DCs haven't noticed just bull rush the C they would do alot better. He's just not strong and makes mental mistakes over and over

I wouldnt change a thing just yet. Remember whom the Cowboys have played thus far. Majority of the opposition strength on D was at DT. He looked overmatched against TB and LA. But not so much against the last 3 teams (PHI, CAR, NYG). I have seen progress, normally Dak isnt getting the center pushed back into him cause he is more mobile. Once Dak gets back the confidence to rollout more this becomes a non issue

I admit to having NO Clue how good or bad this kid is playing. Guess few questions comes to mine

  • Is he a liability and what I mean is he actually hurting the team to the point there's no reason to believe he will improve?
  • Is his issue(s) correctable?
  • Are you willing to burn a high draft 2022 draft pick as replacement?

OMG, fish is fishing again. he has no substance, so he goes for the clickbait, on sensitive topics......

Question: Would this team be in a better position if they had kept Joe Looney as a backup (assuming he still wanted to continue career)
en route to eventually replacing Tyler ?

It was Philly's Hargrove that just ran over Tyler en route to a QB hit and fumble in end zone for Philly
and he had his pass rush struggles (Chargers en route to a holding call).... also vs Carolina, .

Ridiculous take as usual from Fish. When you’ve won 4 in a row and the OL is dominating to the tune of 200 yards a game on the ground, you don’t start shuffling

So if you don’t want to develop players then the only other option is buy then in FA

From reading the zone
He is good in rushing, but having issues in pass protection

I am not on board with making a change just yet. The part that is concerning to me is the snaps. He is not new to the position and shotgun snaps are the same in HS, College and the Pros... the mechanics are exactly the same. This should be automatic for him at this point. This tells me he is thinking to much about it now.. which means he is going to get of the ball slower which will affect his ability to block. He needs to work through this quickly and if not, he needs to be replaced. But I would give him a little more time.

As someone who played Center and played it very well, I agree with your assessment on what is ailing Biadasz. You're absolutely right. At this point of his career, Biadasz shouldn't be having any problems with his shotgun snaps. That he is so off is a very bad sign. It's clear he is thinking too much, and it definitely is affecting not only his pass blocking but even remembering the actual snap count! All signs that he needs to sit out a game or two to see if he can both mentally and physically get it right.

Matt Farniok is there waiting. I don't know why he hasn't been plugged in yet?

What is strange is not a word has been said in this group about the OL, especially Biadasz, until the events of last game where Dak dropped a waist high shotgun snap resulting in a turnover.

Uh, have you not seen the endless calls by americas cowboy for farniok to take over? I must have seen him pimp farniok at least a dozen times in the last week alone.

Leave McGovern available for the "MAC" formation, where he is either a FB or Jumbo TE. He's not a better center than Tyler Biadasz even if Tyler is having problems on occasion. The lost fumble at the goal line during the giants game was Dak's fault.

And he may not be far off from starting. My best assumption is that 1. Biadasz earned the starting job in camp and they will give him every opportunity to keep it. Don't really want to set up a culture that says, hey you make one or two mistakes and you will lose your job.. that will make people slow down and think before reacting so they don't make a mistake. 2. I don't see Matt in practice every day but the coaches do. I have to believe that if he was a lot better than our current center he would be in there.

I think this up coming game is a big game for Biadasz.. if he continues to struggle or even get worse, he could be replaced after the bye.. And to be fair, the run blocking from Biadasz has been outstanding and his pass blocking has been ok.. not great but we have all seen worse (Chaz Green). He just needs to work out his snap issue and figure out what is causing it and do it quickly.

Does McGovern know the right calls he will need to make as a center? Has he corrected his snapping technique to be consistent? And can he do it under durress? Maybe they plan to test him over the long break and see what he can handle? or maybe look at fairnok (sp?) and keep the G man as the backup guard/center/fullback/blocking TE etc.

I keep waiting to see Biadasz improve in some way, but I just see the same things happening each game, sometimes at critical times.
I don't know if Farniok has been getting any reps with the starters. I hope he is.
As a QB, I didn't like poor snaps or weak protection from the middle of the line.

Yeah, just like this coaching staff waited all 5 games to finally give rookie LB Jabril Cox a few plays on Defense, and we all saw what he can do when given a chance. I had been saying since the end of preseason that Cox should have been playing since Week 1.

After last year, this year's preseason and now 5 games into this year's regular season, there is enough film to show Biadasz has problems with his technique in pass protection...badly...and now has problems with his shotgun snapping accuracy in recent games and has even forgetten the actual snap count TWICE in the last game. In my book, he's getting worse. He needs a timeout for a game or two. Give Farniok a chance against these lesser opponents the Boys have scheduled right now before the schedule gets harder.

Did McGovern do the bad snaps in PS, or was it Williams?

Newsflash: That Hargrove is pretty good and so is that guy Fletcher next to him. And they do that to other centers in the league, even the good and experienced ones.
