Well, the Cowboys won't be sneaking up on anyone this season, the word is out. These Cowboys are good.

The sports media is fawning all over this team. The Cowboys are in the top 6 of almost all their lists. I have seen them listed as high as #2.

Ironically, the pundits that made the harshest statements are now the loudest ones heaping praise after 5 games in a 17 game regular season. I wish they would just shut up. The last thing these players need to hear is that they are the best in the NFC......even if it's true.

All the sports talk shows are slapping this huge target on the back of the Cowboys and we get YouTube videos like, "Why the rest of the NFL should fear the Cowboys".

I'm hearing heaps of praise from Shannon Sharpe, Rich Eisen, Colin Cowherd, Max Kellerman, you name it.......it's a little unsettling.

Every time I turn on ESPN there is Trevon Diggs, Amari Cooper, Dak Prescott.....I mean, they are discussing how poor Bill Belicek can possibly compete against these mean, nasty Cowboys......STOP!

You don't declare a winner in the first leg of a marathoin. The Cowboys have put themselves in a good position less than one third of the season, that's all. They are more than capable of beating themselves, sinking in controversy, devastating injuries, overconfidence, or just losing focus. they are young and extremely inexperienced when it comes to NFL success. And then there is Jerry jones, enough said.

In 2008 the Cowboys were 4-1.

I sincerely hope that the coaches are preaching daily, "One game at a time"!

I don't want to rain on the party, I want to break it up and send everybody home. I want the real party that starts February 13, 2022 around 8:30PM CST. That only happens if the Cowboys can maintain their focus and not look ahead of their next game.

Enjoy the praise for once. I am tired of all the crap the media has dumped on them over the years.
So I love it.

This is where the coaches can show how good they are by keeping the team in check. Not buying into the hype, not drinking the kool-aid, not eating the cheese.
And from what I seen this group of players are doing pretty good keeping in all uncheck.

What I love is SAS not being able to dump on them, but he is trying, and makes himself look like the fool he is.

It's no different than any other time. The Cowboys do well and the media completely overdoes the praise. Even just about every third story on MSN is about the Cowboys. Now, when the Cowboys fall? We all know how that goes. Just wait until the first loss to see how the media responds.

It is part of the overall test and that is good teams stay focused even when there is hoop la all around you. More Dallas wins the more attention they will get and they have to be able to keep themselves grounded and do their jobs.

Yeah, but I think the coaches are keeping them focused.

I’d love to see us re-play the TB game this Sunday. Media would be all over us we’d beaten the Bucs like we could and should have. We just weren’t there yet.

As long as we don't see Jessica Simpson outside an AT&T luxury box wearing a pink Dak jersey we should be fine.

LOL!!!!

But seriously. It's been 25 years since the Cowboys made any real noise in the playoffs. People waited so long for a Cowboys Renaissance many of them are now dust. People have been born, gotten their HS diploma, graduated from college, gotten married, and had their first divorce in that amount of time.

The media and its "elder" boomer statesmen will always think of the Cowboys franchise as a lightning rod. And try to use it as such.

And to a degree it still is. But not like it was.

Everybody wants to be Mahomes, Jackson, or Allen now. The flavor of the month.

Who wants to be Dak? I might give it a go. But I'm biased.

LOL!!!

There are a few certainties in life. Death. Taxes. The media fawning over the Cowboys over any modicum of success. And disgruntled fans posting about it.

...somehow I see MM regulating and keeping things basic as possible. He's been there, done that. Only difference is popular ring of fire.

I'm cautious because of the team's past history in dealing with success. I like the start but when I hear talk of the Super Bowl from a player it makes me very nervous.

The Cowboys have gone 6-1 three times in the past 15 years.....and lost in the divisional round all three times.

Yup was going to say the same thing. This is par for the course in the NFL and happens to all the good teams. Hopefully this new coaching regime will keep the team focused on what's worthy and necessary.

Sunday is the trap game.

Young team of players getting all the media attention, looking forward to the bye after the game beginning with several extra days off, first away game in almost a month.....

I think the coaches will keep them focused but it's not going to be the cakewalk the Giants were.

There were posts here calling the Giants game a trap game…and the Panthers game…and the Eagles game.

Eventually we’re going to lose a game, and people here will be saying. “See! I said it was a trap game!”

Upsets are much more common in the NFL than people realize. They happen. Their doesn’t need to be psychological explanation for them.
