Eliminate ALL division foes from playoff contention...period.

Could have used some help last season, right. There we go.

There appears to be 5 contenders in the NFC. Yes, it’s early, things can change but the moment, these teams appear to be the class of the conference.

In no particular order

Arizona
Dallas
Green Bay
Los Angeles
Tampa Bay

Dallas has already lost to Tampa Bay. That game is going to have playoff implications as the season continues.

I’m not saying we should be rooting for Philadelphia to win tomorrow but I am saying we should be rooting for Tampa Bay to lose.

The Eagles are not going to be in the NFC East division race so don’t come in here with that garbage.
I see what you're saying, I just have a hard time ever rooting for the iggles. Strategically it's better for us if TB loses but can't they lose to someone else some other time?

I'm with JBS. This team should have bigger aspirations than just winning a crappy division, so I'm not sure a somewhat competitive race isn't better than coasting into the end of the year with a huge lead. Plus a conference competitor losing.

That said, it won't hurt my feelings a bit to see the Eagles get stomped.

I don't mind playing Tampa Bay in the middle of Winter on their field with real turf.
Besides if we take care of business the road will come through Dallas .

Nonsense. We’ll just hope Tampa loses other games later. This week I want them at their best.

I agree......wanting the Bucs to lose is assuming we're competing with them for home-field advantage. It's a bit early for that.....let's get the division locked out ASAP, then.......

I won’t be rooting for either team. TB wins great. As long as we win it gives us more separation in division. Philly wins, ok, helps us for playoffs. If we are battling philly at end of year for division then we probably aren’t going to be doing much in the playoffs anyway.

I'm not rooting for Tampa Bay. Because the first order of business is winning the division. A Eagles loss helps that.

I can't see myself rooting for Philly, I'll just will hope that the Eagles lose tonight, because I can't stand them and because they are still division rivals. If this is about seedings, then I would just have to hope that Tampa loses some of their other games down the road. And like Sydia mentioned, I don't want to see Eagles fans and Philly media talking about how they have "turned the season around" and now are a threat to the Cowboys to take the division or how they're now a great team again.

My rooting for a team doesn't affect the outcome. I'm happy with whoever loses. TB loses, that helps Dallas in the Conference, and I can sardonically "thank" the Eagles for helping the Cowboys at the end of the year, which is plenty of salt for them. If Philadelphia loses, great, helps the Cowboys for the division and makes them sad.

Another issue with Philadelphia losing - they quick on Siriani after one year, get a competent coach and GM and use those 3 top 15 draft picks effectively. Everyone here should be hoping Howie Roseman stays another year to waste those picks.

If you are rooting for Philly to win a week 6 game against a non divisional opponent then you have lost the plot and all sense of sanity.

What is the most important goal in the season after making the playoffs?

Winning your division.

In that regard I want every division rival eliminated from winning it any way possible, ergo every Philly loss is good. Same for the no name team and the giants.

Besides it's too early to think about playoff matchups, if Brady goes down with an injury (yeah I know the Flop King is extremely unlikely to do so) the Bucs are probably done (which in itself is not certain).

But as others have said, I can understand feeling differently. Just don't share that view....
