I agree... but in fairness, Tony never had the support Dak has. What would he do with it? Who knows...
Comparing QB's is stupid, as they have different team mates and coaches, and they played different opponents.
The eagles and giants were better teams in tonys era, the giants won 2 SB's .
Look at those 2 teams now and they are a joke.

Aikman glorifies any player that is doing good.Any team that is doing good.

Yes that I know he said. My rebuttal was to someone that said that Troy said that Dak was better than Romo, that I never heard during the broadcast. Thx
my bad missed that somehow, I'd like to see that quote also.

..here's my opinion on this statement. Romo while eventually ended up being a very good QB, Dak in short time has reached his par, and will continue to improve in his craft.

Dak was a better QB in college and in the pros than Romo. No comparison.

He beat Romo for the job. Case closed.

yes.

it was around the 3rd cowboys passing TD.

buck asked him what made this team different from the last 2 decades of failure
Update

I reviewed both the final 1:26 of the second quarter and the entire third quarter, twice, but did not not hear that particular Buck/Aikman conversation. The review covered the Cooper (2nd passing TD )and Elliott (3rd passing TD) receptions. I will review the entire fourth quarter tomorrow (probably tomorrow evening). There is always the possibly my recording of the game is flawed and omitted the convo but I did not notice any technical interruptions during my review.

Is it possible that Aikman/Buck made their comments around Lamb's touchdown catch early in the second quarter?

he gets on my nerves sometimes. I like daryl johnston way better, but since troy was the qb lol he got the better gig.
I enjoy listening to daryl

Dak was better than Romo from day one. Romo could never lead a team to 13-3 his first year.

People forget Romo was a turn over machine his first few years. Didn't he throw 5 INTs against Buffalo once?
this is true.

Jerry Jones LOVED romo like a grandson but even he knew the Dak was simply a better Q

I loved Romo, but Dak is the leader that Romo never did become.

Romo had “his guys”. Everyone respects and connects with Dak.

Dak is a leader of men, and he’s playing as efficiently as Romo ever did.

By far the best and most accurate post on this thread!

It’s possible to like both QBs by the way. And liking one doesn’t = “hating” the other. I was a fan of Tony Romo when he played and I’m a big fan of Dak.

If I had to choose which one I would prefer to be my QB when they are/were each at their best, I would take Dak. Again, that doesn’t mean I don’t respect Romo. But I do think Dak has more to offer and I think in the end he will have more playoff wins which is the ultimate measuring stick in my eyes.

In my opinion Romo was better at his peak. But not by much. Dak is a lot better at protecting the ball. I think Dak is considerably better than a 2007 Romo. Which is why I think this is our best team since the 90s. But again, who knows? It's only been 5 weeks.
