I'll admit I've been wrong about Dak. I remember Troy saying accuracy was something either you had or didn't have. Perhaps Troy was wrong too. Bottom line I've been pleasantly surprise to be wrong...so far.

Troy was dead wrong.. I posted when he said that, he was wrong. Having watched Dak improve every year I am also very excited about where he can go. Especially given that he's gonna be here another 8-10 years.. improving incrementally each year along the way..

But Dak has had playoff success. Stafford….he lost to the 2014 Cowboys with the best D in the league. I get what your saying. He needs to have more success for sure but comparing him to Stafford….ehh I don’t know about that one. Maybe Phillip Rivers or hell even Romo.
I don't care about a Wild Card win. A measly Wild Card win is not success to me.

I'm going to compare him to Stafford until one or the other has real success then they will surpass the other in my eyes.

That 2016 was so talented it won 4 games the year prior lol….meanwhile Stafford had Megatron and in 2014 he lost with the the second best defense in the league. Stafford was never Romo. Romo may have not had his arm talent but he was get more successful as a player.

romo and Stafford =virtually the same player..I am huge Romo fan so id no and its not knock's on either player, truly very similar players in many ways and even share the 9..

so gloss over the fact that we didn't have a qb and other issues in 2015 truly the team was good in 2014, very good, a SB team really that fell short that did NOT change in 2015 outside of injurie's umm kk

just like last year , you think we actually turned around 6-10 team in one offseason?.heck no brah

we got our players back added a bit changed few things but its the same players on offense from even back to 2019..same OC and last year same offensive group brought back.

this offense would have been on similar pace in 2020 had it not been for injuries..

so keep on with that illusion dak took over a clunker LMAO that OL and then dak get zeke to add to it..
2016 and this season very similar in many ways outside its the young defensive stars that are surprising many vs the offense in16..

now the hope is can we finish better go deeper then 2016..hope so...

We've been incredibly luck with our last two QBs. Tony Romo (undrafted free agent) and Dak Prescott (4th round) both have over achieved in my book. I feel grateful that their quarterback play has been better than any of us could have dreamed of. We should feel blessed that Dak is continuing to improve. I love to see it happening. Here's to the future!

Go Cowboys!

Like the great Parcells said….you are what your record says you are. I do think we turned around a 6-10 team. If Dak never got hurt? Maybe they go 8-8 or 9-7. They improved personnel this year and coaching. Quinn is worth a few more wins as is Parsons.

he was wrong..

sure the 6-10 was who andy dalton, nuch, and gg were behind a 3rd string OL and not having one FA left to finish the 2nd half of he season..sure they sure were 6-10 but the offensive team we started the season with this season would have been easily 8-8 -9-7 so the turnarounds is not what it appears to be..sure its improved but the perceived gap is not what 6-10 becomes TBD

so no not even close this will not be oh wow 6-10 to 11-6 huge turns around it will look lie on paper....

But even when Dak has been healthy how many times have they had seasons successful as this one? Once? Let’s not act like under Garrett was a perennial playoff coach.

2016 and the finish to 2018 was better because we know the outcome of those..maybe you forget that win streak and run in 2018 but i dont

that back stretch was every bit as exciting and fun as this start then beating Seattle in the first round..

you calling being 4-1 a successful season is getting bit ahead of yourslef.my man..this barely has just started..:rolleyes:

lets talk after they go to the NFCCG, anything short is not better because we went to the 2nd round in 2018..so??

It’s successful thus far. They’ve already beat two teams with winning records and one was on the road. This team hasn’t done that in awhile.

Dak was better last year so far, just the team playing as a whole is playing much better. Dak isn't played bad by any means. He's not getting hit with the ton of drops and the defense is giving him some turnovers. I think we seen it last year, where he is top 5 qb, good enough to win, but the team has to help him as well.

Matt Stafford nor Dak has had any real success.

Both are top level QBS that have not had any success that matters.

If Dak wants to separate himself from guys like that then he needs to get some playoffs success under his belt the same way that Stafford does.
I don't think many QBs would have had a playoff win in those few playoff games that Stafford played in

All on the road vs superior opponents. It's not like they were favored to win any of those road games. Te outcomes were all expected by the oddsmakers.

Even Dallas has generally won the playoff games they were favored in and lost the ones they weren't....with two glaring exceptions.
2007 and 2016.
Those were disappointing and, ironically, both Romo's and Prescott's first full seasons as starters.

We all had concerns about Dak post ankle injury, but he has been on fire this season from the opening game to the present. It’s clear that we don’t have any idea what Dak’s ceiling is. He continues to improve his accuracy, his QBR, and is a superb leader. I’m so excited to see how great Dak can become. He has improved every season and I’m excited to see how high he can fly!

Without Zeke, this is pretty much it......
