Not much to say about Kyrie other than he is crazier than a bed bug and has taken to putting everything before team results to the point of just being a contrarian.

If KD and Harden are healthy it won't matter anyway.
Could be a big if. 33 and 32 isnt old, but it is also a stage where injury bugs can be more frequent.

If they stay healthy, the East teams outside of Milwaukee are probably too young to beat trhem. And Milwaukee probably isnt good enough to beat them healthy

No doubt, but if they lost KD they weren't winning a title anyway. And Harden is built like a tank.

Kyrie has issues.

This is the same guy who openly supports the "Flat Earth Theory" so if any players want to follow his intelligent integrity stand, go for it.

Couldn't play with Lebron. Couldn't play with the Celtics. Told his homeboy Durant he would come play for them on the Nets to win a championship, and now this.

I would try and get whatever I could for him from a team that doesn't have the home team laws, and call it a wash.

It's a shame, he may be the best ball handler in the league. Wasted potential.

Wont take much to to really fortify that mean. A lower tier "star", would do. Durant and Harden would make them look much better than they are. Its too bad for them they had to include Levert in the Harden deal, he would have done nicely. I think there is a real threat to them from Atlanta, NY and Boston in future, but not 2022 if they stay healthy. All three are probably too young

I agree. Both Durant and Harden are pure scorers. Get someone who can bang the boards, play some D or is just a dish-it-out assist man (hint, hint Simmons in Philly).

Harden still needs to prove though that he can score in crunch time. He hasn't shown up in the Playoffs since his OKC days. He's one of my favorite players, but I'll admit there are a lot of other guys I'd take over him into the Playoffs. He can change it, he's still young.

With Durant he doesnt really need to take over in clutch time

Best move for the Nets may be to just save the money by letting him sit.

They are a super spender so every dollar they count saves about 4 in total pay out.
Then when the drama subsides either way in a season, trade him for cheap players to any desperate fool.

I think the NBA has already ruled that there will be no luxary tax savings for players who aren't vaccinated. I guess they'll save on his actually salary, but he's still gonna cost them a lot

Not sure. Durant laid it all out in that last game against Milwaukee and it wasn't enough with Harden not doing much, although he had the injury excuse this time.

I think that's why I'm upset about this, because I saw Durant give it all in that Milwaukee Bucks series, and then take the USA Olympics Team on his back.

It's not like he hadn't shown these greatness moments before, and it's hard to feel for these forced Playoff teams, but I just have total respect for the guy after last year. I'm rooting for him and hope Kyrie doesn't leave him hanging.

I'm assuming that would apply if a player played some games and missed others versus going on say an exempt list where they do not play at all.

I mean, Kyrie is eligible to play in some games. The Nets are choosing to sit him due to obvious reasons, so I don’t see why the league would give them luxury tax relief

Looking forward to Spurs vs Lakers tomorrow night. Will be watching that game. If Spurs can pull that one off, I think we have a shot at a tourney spot this year.

I'll be happy with a .500 start. I knew they were going to lose against the Nuggets and/or Bucks. Especially with no night off.

Warriors are looking like they are back on track. I thought they would be much better last year.

That's good too they're doing it with this roster because I wouldn't count on anything from Klay Thompson. Remains to be seen if he can come back from all that.

I'm so sick of Porzingis.
Can the guy ever stay healthy?
What a waste.

I don't think Jason Kidd thing is working.
The Mavericks are going no where.
