Without Zeke, this is pretty much it......

male-construction-worker-builder-wearing-260nw-285483080.jpg

LOL. Zeke was such a force his first two years, but we don’t even lose a step w Pollard in place of Zeke. You did see how bad we were w/o Dak last year?

Dak is elite, this organization is not. We need a deep playoff run for the first time in 25 years to reclaim the elite org tag. Dak is part of the solution, the front office is the only common thread running through 25 seasons of playoff insignificance.

No you don't.. One, not all human beings develop physically at the same rate. It's why some guys who are shorter than you in junior high can eventually end up being 6 inches taller than you by the end of high school. Secondly, each sport and even each position has a different "prime" both in terms of how many years in the league it begins as well as how long it lasts. For running backs their best years tend to be ages 21-27. But according to your theory they should just be hitting their prime at 28.. Yet most running backs are out of the league by that age. Only two types of running backs last beyond that age.. Truly great ones and ones who play special teams. But as with most things regarding the human condition, there are only two things that you can apply universally to all of us. And if you're poor enough (or rich enough) you don't even have to pay taxes. It also bears stating that the ability to throw the ball where he wants it is not an ability that fades as a guy goes through his 30's. For a QB the "prime" has almost next to nothing to do with his "physical peak" which is what you're really talking about. Once a guy reaches a point where he can put the ball on the money and is smart enough to know where to go with the ball.. he will stay in his "prime" until his arm falls off like Drew Brees or Boomer Esiason or some other part of his body stops him like Peyton Manning or Tony Romo. Dak has hit his "prime" as far as throwing the ball. But he will continue to gain experience and get smarter and smarter in the game until the day he retires. As such he is going to continue to improve until he either hurts his throwing arm or shoulder or he retires. I realize that bothers some people.. Too bad..

I didn't get past the kid growing taller than me in, eh, high school, as defense for the nonsense players can reach their physical prime in their 30s.

Good stuff. Keep "educating" me.

Oh I accepted a long time ago that Ron White is correct.. You can't fix stupid.. However let me help you with some examples of guys performing at their peak in their 30's.

Carl Lewis ran his best 100 meters when he set the world record in the 1991 World Championships with a 9.83 clocking.. he was 30 at the time. He also set a PR in the long jump of 29' 2 3/4". Unfortunately he lost that day to Mike Powell who jumped 29' 4 1/4.

Justin Gatlin won the 2016 US Olympic Trials in the 100 meters (9.80) and the 200 meters (19.75) at age 34. He finished second to Usain Bolt in those 2016 Olympics.. running 9.89. He set his personal bests in the 100 the year before with a 9.75 and 1957 in the 200.. at age 33.

I could go on and on for days listing guys who performed at their absolute best beyond age 30 but I know none of it will resonate with you. The bottom line is that many athletes can and do continue to get better into their 30's.. Your declaring that Dak can't just proves once again that Ron White was correct..

Ronnie still thinks he can convince someone that a human being's physical prime is sometimes in their 30's.

Keep em coming, bro. But you're going to have a hard time topping a high school kid's growth spurt as proof.

You've already occupied more of my time than you deserved.. That ends now..

I don’t know if “physical” prime is the argument that needs to be taking place anyway.

When it comes to QB’s. Their play can continue to improve even after physically they are slowing down. Increased experience, knowledge of the game, and ability to process the field can overcome and be even more important than slight decreases in physical attributes like speed, agility, explosiveness, etc.

Your words sting me, Ronnie.

Hey you know what might be concerning? What if Nahshon Wright has one of those 30 year old growth spurts that tends to happen? We could end up with a 7 foot corner. Hope that doesn't happen.

We should be talking about what the ceiling is for this team not Dak.

There is no ceiling without Dak.
Her can get a little better in the red zone, thats about it. After that he will be all the team needs him to be to succeed. But to succeed we are going to have to have a healthy O line and a better pass rush. Then the team will be lifting him as much as he is lifting the team
