I remember my dad eating frito pie from a red solo cup... good memories. Although I did think he was a bit nuts at the time. Ha!
First time I had that concoction in front of my staff, they thought I was crazy.....by 2 in th morning they were all eating it! Lol

I never had that, never even heard of it until I got to Texas. Then I tried it. It was great.

Oh, that may be good for today, since it is a very nice cool 48º right now, but supposed to get to 72º.

I quit writing several years ago. I think I've only got one book still available in print. At least it's the only one I got to write on my own terms.
I googled it....seems interesting. I'd love to add it to my library...I may actually read this one..lol....pretty cool to see many of our poster have great backgrounds...wish I could share a drink with many of you.....

My background is really humble compared to yours and many others.

Been smoking a brisket for a few hours, should be ready by 1 o'clock....My wife and daughter are making potato salad, charro beans and Mexican rice.....the best thing about this are the leftovers....take a red solo cup, put all of the above in it and mix it together!!! Esta Con Madre!!
What's in your plate?
Salud mis Amigos and GO COWBOYS!
Little cold front here in DFW so homemade chili with a side of butterfinger ice cream for desert. Keep on rolling defense and bring home the W in Bill’s house. Go Cowboys!

my wife said if I behave myself today she will make some sugar cookies. woot!! Go Cowboys!!:starspin::starspin:
Bummer you're gonna have to miss out on the cookies. Maybe she'll let ya slide.

We're in a bad spot. My wife fell & bruised her ribs pretty bad & can't bend without tearing up, so the cooking has been all on me. We've settled for take out so far, but I'll prob grill some burgers & sausages today.

Back in my "youth", all our concession stands during football games had frito pie.....basically you cut a slit down the side of the frito bags, and fill it with chili and cheese. Then you eat it straight out of the bag with a fork!! Good times!! :D

42 degrees in the rural woods of CT this morning, put a rub on some baby back ribs at 630am, stuck them in the oven at 210 degrees. Took the dog for a hike in the woods, now taking the wife out on the Harley to go leaf peeping. Should be back by 2:30 so the wife can see the 2nd half of her GB game (Yes she's a Packers fan).

By game time (4:25 EDT in CT) should have the ribs, baked beans and some cornbread ready to be washed down with some Sam Adams Oktoberfest.
