We need to be careful here HES great because he’s the OC with one job. MM does make some weird calls but a few things are better than JG: Aggressive vs FGs; halftime adjustments snd pulling out late games. You can say it’s Dak or the coordinators but overall we are winning. Why mess with it? Some people are great coordinators.

Just because Moore can call an offense doesn’t mean he can lead a football team. I def see the potential but a lot of factors come into play. A lot of season left.

I don’t think Jerry let’s him get away like he did with Sean Peyton. Throw more money at him and let him continue to develop

Not much you can do if he wants to take a HC job. You can pay him more, bump him to asst head coach, and help him realize he really has it made with this team. But if he wants to run his own show, not much you can do to stop him.

If things continue to go our way this season, there is no doubt Kellen Moore could be a hot HC candidate for someone next year. Do we just fire MM and promote him to HC? Do we have someone else on the staff to continue with this offense? I know its premature to worry about this, but its a likely scenario

A ton of those jobs are crappy though. Jax would be a good situation but Raiders? Not so much

Again, what makes Kellen appear to be ready to be a HC? Especially, this highest profile team in all of sports. He is still wet behind the ears and needs a few more years to tune his craft. It is not flawless you know……..

Seen this movie before. Wonder OC kid moves to head coach. Fans go crazy in favor of the move. Dallas is horrible for 10 years waiting for him as he claps on the sidelines to become a good coach HC. Don't wanna repeat the same mistake:facepalm:

Play the season out. See where they end up. I'd say if they don't make a run in the playoffs you have to take a hard look at it. Especially if there is any kind of let down. Mm already makes a lot of head scratching calls. If that continues and leads to questions about his ability you move on. Maybe move him into a front office job and promote Moore. At this point it's a little early to start getting nervous. Surely old jer would open the check book to keep his newest pet cat.

If it comes to it, you fire MM. His in-game decision making is highly questionable anyway. Anyway, it's a problem for another day.
Things could change and Moore could be lucky to keep his job. You never know what tomorrow brings. MM could be on his way out by the end of the year. The point I am making is that we should worry about that situation if and when the day arrives that it is a problem. For the record, there is no way that I would keep MM over Moore.

I just don't understand all this hand wringing over Kellen Moore.

Don't get me wrong, I want him in Dallas in 2022 and beyond, but I still don't think he is ready for a Head Coaching job.

Besides, he had a shot at leaving last year and he decided to sign a multi-year deal to stay the Dallas OC. And if it is about money, pffft, Jerry will take care of that.

If Moore demands to be HC, he better come up with ONE HELL OF A PITCH MEETING before I even consider it if I am Jerry.

Again, if I had my way, Moore IS the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. But that will be later, rather than sooner.

But I have no say in any of it, so why should I worry? What happens will happen, no need to give myself any stress worrying about it.

If Jerry Decides to Keep McCarthy - Then Pay Moore a boat load of money and promise him the HC job next allow Moore to Work with McCarthy and gain a little more experience But pay him enough to stay without a doubt

If Things go south and McCarthy is fired at the end of the year then its a no brainer IMO give Moore the Job

Just pay him whatever a head coach makes and call it a day. I don’t really see him as a leader of grown *** men, he looks like my little cousin. Don’t get me wrong I love his offense and I want to retain him but does he really want to go coach some *** bucket team?

You have a legit concern . The way I see it is that a Moore has a very high ceiling. Much higher than MM, who is as good as he will ever be. I had rather gamble on Moore becoming a great coach than settle for MM’s in-game coaching screwups. Moore could be worse, but it is worth the gamble to find out.
