Romo questioned the calls on CW.

He did. its funny that it didn't look anything like holding. Except that the Pats were asking for a flag and they got it.

Yet when Gregory was asking for a flag they didn't give it to him.

Was it three penalties today? He already had 5 penalties so if it was 3 then that brings his season total to 8

He had 3 in the 4th quarter. He's a bad player and doesn't deserve to be on this OL. I've been saying this for years. He was gifted his spot in large part thanx to his draft position. He's been given every opportunity to succeed and has failed. I don't see him on the team on the team next year. When La-El comes back, they should put knight in his spot.

Agreed. Holdings calls can probably be called on nearly every play, but it was fustrating to see how tight they were calling against the Cowboys and seems less on NE.

He's costing the Cowboys many yards and points!
I tend to agree, although a couple of the calls yesterday were very ticky tacky, and their OL, specially LT was blatantly holding and hooking his arm and yet no calls.

I tend not to want to believe the refs can be partial, but it has happened too many times in NE for it not to be

Don't forget Dak getting whacked in the head and no call, I thought NFL quarterbacks were supposed to be protected?

You know its funny...people just 24 hours ago made the case this is the best offensive line in the league. So how on earth are they the best offensive line in the league with Terrence Steele, Biadicz and Conner Williams? They are all playing well. Zack and Tyron are great......but you don't have a great line with just two players on it.

Ok that's a bit unfair. He hasn't been atrocious. He's had issues with penalties but he's done his job especially in the run game.
People act like they remember hearing his name before the Pats game. Now they'll Google the games and get educated.
Vs. NE we had the highest total of penalties all season, the most yardage all season the vast majority on offense. That seems fishy.

Tyron Smith had two holding calls, he's a bust.

I’m not one for knee jerk reactions but we’ve seen too many penalties week after week from Connnor Williams. Connor McGovern should be the starting left guard in Minnesota two weeks from today.
I think we move Collins to LG and keep Steele at RT. Steele has earned the right to be the starting Rt for this team.

In fairness to Williams, looking at his college career, per Wiki:
As a freshman, he started all 12 games at left tackle.
The next year, he started 11 out of 12 games at left tackle and was considered by the media and coaches one of the best offensive tackles in college football.
As a junior, he suffered a left knee injury in the third game against USC. He returned to play in the eleventh game against West Virginia University. He started only five out of 12 games at left tackle.

He didn't ask to be put at guard, and he's 6-5, that's tall for a guard, who have to get low to take on stubby nose tackles, etc. The man is out of position, the "let's move Williams from tackle to guard and let him learn to play there" experiment was a mistake.

McGovern has started 9 games, Williams 40. McGovern might develop into a good NFL guard. Williams has been there long enough, if he was able to be a guard he'd have developed by now, but he hasn't.

Would it be viable for Dallas to see if they can trade OG Connor Williams, WR Michael Gallup, and TE Blake Jarwin to the Patriots for OG Michael Onwenu and a mid-round draft pick in 2022? While both Williams and Gallup are UFA's after this season, Jarwin has another year remaining and BB loves his TE's and perhaps BB gets one or more re-signed to stay with the Patriots. That said, Dallas gets a young up and coming OG on a rookie contract (ends in 2023) and clears some roster spots for guys they will have coming back from injury.

Doubtful but a thought.

Ok with that but not to include Gallup, if possible. I just don't like the idea of a 1 for 3 trade...

The 1 for 3 is certainly not ideal but seeing as how both Gallup and Williams are UFA's after this season chances are neither will be coming back.

There seem to be subtleties in the rules and referee calls. You can do this, but you can't do that. Pro Bowlers can do this, rookies can't. I suspect that he's doing things that the vets around him get away with, but newer players get caught.

I doubt that CW is irredeemable. He just needs more coaching. That's my $.02.

That's how these guys gauge linemen play. Because on the telecast...you really can't see what the linemen do unless its on a replay. So when they see guys get holding calls they determine if they are playing bad or good. Biadiz needs to get stronger and Conner needs to tone down the penalties. The offensive line is fine. They aren't the best in the league but they don't have to be. Just need to get Collins back and get healthy.
