As long as we keep winning and McCarthy keeps up with his time warp trouble, I'll not complain.

I value the wins, far more than having his clock woes to whine about.

Teams playing as hard as they did with Jimmy, and MM is 5-1. Like Aikman said when he was hired, McCarthy is a leader of men. Jerry needs to keep him as long as he'll stay.

Nantz raised this during the game and it caught my eye too, but a Pats beat writer summarized it well:

“Mysteriously bad clock management by Dallas at the end of the first half. With the clock ticking down, the Cowboys used their final timeout just before Mac Jones knelt on third down. Had they waited till he knelt and then called timeout, they'd have forced New England, deep in their own end and without any timeouts of their own, to punt. Instead, the Patriots went into halftime with a 14-10 lead. The Cowboys cost themselves a chance at one last possession by doing this.”

I’ve never seen a coach consistently look more flustered and lost than McCarthy with game management; 1) to not understand the game situation and opportunity to give your team another shot with the ball; 2) to finally recognize the situation (late) and call a timeout, but at the wrong moment (i.e., called TO before he knelt).

This isn’t new with him either.

What’s bizarre is some of this stuff isn’t that hard to figure out and yet McCarthy continues to make silly end of half decisions.

McC has always had this tendency but just like in GB, he had a prolific offense and a QB to minimize the effect of that.

Wouldn't you like to be a fly on the wall in closed door meetings with the Joneses and McClay considering they might have two of the hotter HC candidates on staff?

Just not in a head coach capacity.

I try not to think about it but Romo yesterday seemed to think Moore is gone for sure. I don't think Quinn is just yet but man......I think Moore might be gone if the right team comes along. I guess it depends on what job opens up.

You know its crazy.....I like our staff....but I don't think Moore and Quinn can lead men as a head coach as well as McCarthy can.

I was around for the Jimmy years but I rarely remember them. My heyday are the grand Gailey, Campo, Garret, et. years lol.

This is just different. McCarthy isn't some big hard *** rah rah guy. He carries this team and himself like its "business as usual". They don't take themselves as serious as a Bellicheat team does but it doesn't feel as "forced" as a Garrett team does. I don't think Moore or Quinn can do what McCarthy does. Its just a perfect combination of everyone involved.

Dude is a mess.

Its multiple times every game his decisions are questioned.

By everyone - media, former players, fans, etc.
That is what happens when you hire a fired coach from the basement of his house whose major credential was like any fan...he watch all the games on TV. then he tells you he lied about watching all the games on TV.

The guy is 5-1 lol. And y'all can say its because of his "talent" or because of his "assistant coaches"....but his ego is the one who didn't get in Moore's way and he signed off on getting Quinn. McCarthy deserves far more respect than people are giving him and this is coming from a guy who didn't even like the hire.

A decision will have to be made though. I don’t believe there is a snowballs chance in hell Moore goes anywhere. .02

I'd like more information on this, it could have very well been a coordinator call.

So, we're giving him the credit that he lost for hiring Mike Nolan last year? We're just going to forget about that? Quinn was a nice rebound hire after an all time worst defense in our history. Great job Mike. Way to go.

Yeah I know.....I mean I don't know how they do it. I think in a perfect world they make Moore the highest paid coordinators in the league and that will probably hold him for another year. I think its going to come down to what team needs a head coach.

Would you rather be the Raiders head coach or the Cowboys OC?

Not at all. McCarthy sucked last year. He was terrible. That was some of the worst coaching I've seen here. Worse than Garrett.

I say it every week.

Mike McCarthy is the worst coach we have. Moore and Quinn are both better than him.

There is NO WAY Jerry will allow his home grown guy Kellen Moore to walk out of that door for a guy that just cannot stop making horrible decisions every week. NO WAY.

He called a TO with 25 seconds on the clock to kick the field goal to go to OT. That gave them a free possession.
yes, that baffled me too....specially that they scored on one 70 yard play. why wouldn't they take a chance at least......
