And yet he will be a starter in this league many more years, just not here
He’s a solid player who is above average in run blocking
You sure about that? He is an average player. At best. He does what he did in the 4th Q as an average player he will be out of the league in 2 to 3 years.

Another one that should be swapped out is Brown. He plays hot and cold throughout each and every game. He could have ruined our chance to win not pulling on the receiver's face mask. It was not called, and it wasn't egregious but there was no reason for him to pull on it in the first place. The refs for the most part were not our friends in that game.

He is a much better player than fans here think

He loves to play the tough guy role. Except, he’s mediocre at best

Yep....sick to DEATH of this guy. The refs know how undersized and overmatched he is just like the rest of us. He has to try and make up for it by...holding most every play. He sucks.

The 1 for 3 is certainly not ideal but seeing as how both Gallup and Williams are UFA's after this season chances are neither will be coming back.

Teams usually aren't going to trade for players that will be free agents next year, they will just wait until they are free agents. Cowboys traded like that for Cooper, but Cooper was a top receiver and the Cowboys were desperate for another receiver. Neither Williams or Jarwin are at the level Cooper was. And Gallup hasn't played after his injury, so there's a bit of uncertainty about if he can return to form. So Gallup isn't at this point regarded as all that great either...

I don’t think cutting Williams is the answer but clearly he needs competition there.

Perhaps the Cowboys are thinking Smith won't be here much longer and Williams can move to tackle, where he played his entire college career.

Just a thought...

I’m not one for knee jerk reactions but we’ve seen too many penalties week after week from Connnor Williams. Connor McGovern should be the starting left guard in Minnesota two weeks from today.
Not the norm for Williams to have this many penalties so therefore it is fixable. Much like it wasnt the norm for Zeke to have so many fumbles a year ago.

Williams should be replaced by McGovern. But I still want him around in case we need him.

One of the big knocks against Williams early on was that he needed to gain strength. Well he's been here several years and still gets shoved back in Dak's face several times a game. Now any player can have that happen to him, even Tyron Smith has a couple of those every year.

But with Williams it's 4-5 times every game. If he's not gotten strong enough by now he's never going to....
