And some fans always want to go for it.

I’d ask fans, who else around the league is making calls like this regularly?

It’s like anytime it’s 4th and short in our territory past the 30 yard line we’re going for it. Never seen anything like it in NFL.
And I wonder if we will start to see if it rubs off on the NFL. There is a time and place for going for it.

HC is in his blood. His father won several state championships as a HC. BTW his dad let his son call the plays. Kellen has been drawing up plays since Jr high. Lol
you just helped my point. he’s been XO guy not a run the team guy. i’d like to see him as assistant head coach and see how he does with that added responsibility before i hand him a 7billion dollar franchise.

Unfortunately that’s not how it works in the NFL. Young HC have become such a hot commodity . Play callers are highly sought after.

And there’s so much support with teams GM, VP, etc in running football operations. Maybe not with the Cowboys but most franchises have a better support system in place.

I’m fine with the element of surprise . But it doesn’t even appear to be a decision anymore. Unless if we’re in FG range.
It’s a given now. Maybe if we pull back it will throw the other team off. We need to teach our ST.

Romo said it a couple times yesterday during the broadcast that there’s no way Moore doesn’t become a HC next year.

So, most of my close Cowboy friends here locally are not happy with McCarthy despite the success we’re having . We all are excited about Moore and agree with Romo that he will be highly sought after next year.

Hopefully we will name Moore our HC next year before someone else does.
Good for him.....he's not ready yet and MM can groom another guy

Hopefully, he stays like this guy from NE. Jerry just needs to pay him.

Just because Tony says it, doesnt mean it will happen , or should happen.
ONe thing is if moore goes to another team he wont have all these top players, who are making him
look good here. He wont have Dak, so if he did go be a HC elsewhere he will just be another failed OC as HC.

Jerry would probably throw more money at him, and just curious, anyone know what mike or kellen are making per year now?????????????/

Most HC positions that come open are on bad teams. Or the job wouldn’t be available. Unless someone is retiring.

That’s part of the attraction. To build it. And see it thru.

No doubt Jethro will throw more money at him but at some point everyone wants their shot at HC. All depends on what Moore wants.

The point Romo was making is Moore’s phone will be ringing.

And it was reported Moore extension was for 2 million a year. Some HC are signing closer to 10 million. McC deal was 5 years 30 million.

You guys must be crazy. Kellen Moore has no more than 5 years of total coaching experience. He is not experienced enough to be a successful HC, in my opinion. I think he will stay as OC for at least a few more years with us.

There's been a recent trend of younger coaches. I hope we don't buy into it.

If Kellen wants to...then go be free young bird.

Hang in there HERE, for another year or two.......and reap the reward.

There’s a place to cheer and a place to critique.

Some of us enjoy discussing and dissecting aspects of the game and events.

Even the coaches and players after celebrating victory show up on Monday’s to watch film and break down what worked and what they need to work on.

Let’s hope he does that. But who could blame him if he gets the opportunity.

Romo mentioned it during the game yesterday. Thought it is a worthwhile subject. Sorry it doesn’t interest you.

So Moore has a top RB. 2 star WRs. 2 talented pass catching TEs. A star level backup RB. A trio of talented secondary WRs. A solid OL. A QB playing like an MVP. A HC that is an offensive guru.

What would people expect Moore to do with that?

Are you not at all shocked with his play calls inside the 10?

How did you feel about Moore last year?

The guy is a total figment.

Good point. He definitely has a wealth of talent to work with. Surely the rest of the leagues owners see that as well. We’ll see who comes calling next year.

Lets see how well Moore looks when he inherits a roster with dismal offensive talent. You can draw up all the X's and O's you want but if you dont have the right personnel....
