I looked at it more like even when this team is on the road, sloppy and getting worked over by the officials they will not blink. They can still find a way to win.

1995:

Barely hung on to defeat the Giants 21-20. The Giants ended up going 5-11 for the season. The Cowboys won the Super Bowl that year.

1993:

Lost to the Miami Dolphins 16-14 on Thanksgiving when Leon Lett tried to jump on a live ball. The Dolphins went 9-7 that season. the Cowboys went back-to-back.

Let's get real. Even elite teams will look pedestrian at times. You can't shine 16 weeks in a row. consistently dominant doesn't mean always dominant, just most of the time.

This is still a young team with a lot of learning to do.

Are you this way in the stock market? When your stock keeps rising but then drops slightly for one day, do you sell, sell, sell? If you are so squeamish were you ever really bullish?

I think the AFC South is actually the worst division in football. NFCE East and AFC East are pretty even too.

Offensive line is weak at the point of attack on short running plays and the defense is a work in progress. This team isn’t a SB contender right now, but we’re gonna make the playoffs and have three months to improve.

2. Picking up 1 yard when necessary. We have perhaps the second most punishing back in the league (Henry?). Why can we not line up and pound it for a yard? We were terrible at this!

3. Linebackers. Our linebackers played like meh. The upgraded performance here was palpable in the first 5 weeks. Yesterday they couldn't make plays against a mediocre offense.

4. Defense overall. Gave up 4 touchdowns to a bottom tier offense. Could not make stops in the red zone. Gave up long plays all over the field (trend that was also there first 5 weeks).

Yes, it's just one game. Yes, sometimes you don't win the TO battle. But man, my spidey sense is not liking these characteristics because I've seen this script before too many times.

Look guys Jason Garrett fans are still trolling . Dude, I understand the 26 year losing mentality, but this is a different team. Everything about it is different!!!!

Hate to tell you winning in the NFL is hard, not just for Dallas but a lot of teams will have games like this, cherry picking plays here and there from other teams or players is a waste fact is all teams will have rough outing and will make mistakes, great teams over come them

Did you see the NE Tampa game? NE should have been destroyed. They weren’t. Why? They are the best coached team in the league. By a fair margin too. Dallas shot themselves in the foot constantly and should have won by 3TDs but NE, at home, is tough. It’s actually a frustrating but good win. The Cowboys of the last 10-15 years don’t win that game. Arrow still pointing up.

Cowboys will be just fine.

DQ and KM will have their respective units improving and/or continue humming in 2 weeks.

And Bones is at least not losing games, that blocked punt gave me hope that ST unit can contribute on a contender.

Bye week will allow Cowboys time to heal and clean things up.

we have problems on both lines,we have solutions but i doubt the will make the change.Williams is a complete liability and needs to be replaced.Gallimore can help on the Dline but i would also look out for some trade help there to become more stout against the run.i have no idea how LVE became so bad but he is terrible,Micah is a rookie so our LB group is a work in progress.

The defense is feast or famine.
The offense has been covering for them.
They have to be consistent if they want to make serious post season noise

I’m sorry but I just don’t understand the “style points” argument for why a Cowboys fan is unimpressed with a win where we “didn’t win big enough”.

The problem with the “style points” argument is too much like college football, the “beauty contest” of the sports world, where if you’re ranked in the “top 10” (which is a joke anyway) then you should win “more impressively”. College football literally creates a committee that chooses 4 teams that have impressed them enough to play for the championship. It’s better than no playoff, but there’s still too much “reputation” and style points that play into the committee choosing 4.

In the NFL, you win a championship based on two things. You qualify for the playoffs by number of wins, then you win every playoff game. That’s it. Doesn’t matter by how much or how impressively you looked. Just win.

Dallas obviously has a good team. They’ve been better than every team they have played this year including Tampa.
