The one thing to remember is Zeke was picked for Tony. They wanted his blocking as much as anything else. I'm just saying to sit back and judge who you wanted NOW....is not representative of the time of the pick.

You said you were okay with either...that's fine too. Zeke gets the nod in blocking...keeping Tony safe. Turns out...Dak too. Dak's rushing injury notwithstanding.
umm he was picked because at the time he was a total 3 down back he had 4k rushing 2k receiving and can block coming out of college= NFL ready..

he was fast and can jump out of building ie hurdler ,their situations are different
Henrys great and so is zeke there no need to constantly have this conversation..

Zeke was far more successful his first 3 seasons and was the identity of the DC offense. now Henrys been more successful the last 3 season..

iuts coin flip both are great and its ok to be mentioned with the best
Henry, chubb, zeke, cooks, etc etc lots of great backs in the league. its ok breathe there always more then one..

the entire Barry vs emmitt deal..then Thurman Thomas and ricky waters were like yo where my props..all eras have 4-5 elite players at every positions..

all those that truly believe if we took ramseys at 4 that year that 100% we could get Henry? no the butterfly effect happens ie once we take Ramsey someone else takes Zeke over someone else and Henry may never had made it to us..heck who knows dak maybe have been gone once you start rearranging one player at the top the entire landscape of the draft changes..

it worked out the way it doid..no way to go back and play what if..

so can we sop the bs..i mean the jags didnt even resign the guy..hes great Diggs is also destined for greatness.. BJ was solid its not like taking ramseys changes the history of the garett era..we weren't CB away from greatness..

the 2016 DC offense was clearly better then the 2016 Jags team..zeke was HUGE part of that..Daks learning curve much easier because of zeke..im wouldnt change thing other then Garett lol

He and Bosa have been neck and neck as far as the top DL from that draft. Just depends on if you are look for an edge or an interior rusher. 2016 we could have used both, but Bosa wasnt available

Im not even sure if they were looking at Ramsey as a CB or FS anyways

That’s what I remember. The Cowboys had rumored interest in Ramsey but possibly wanted him to play safety.

On draft day I remember my brain preferring Ramsey and my heart preferring Zeke.

Henry is like one of those big trains rolling down the tracks.....they are going faster than it looks. I just hope the Titans don't run him into the ground after a couple of years.

like my mom at a buffet

Making him the fastest ball carrier in the NFL this year. As I have been saying to people all year.. Nobody gets to full speed until they've run at least 50-60 yards. If anybody here is going to now argue that Derrick Henry is faster than Tyreke Hill, John Ross, DK Metcalf and the like I got some beachfront property in Arizona I'd like to sell ya. Henry hit that speed because he was able to run 70 yards without being touched. There are 30 guys in the league who could run faster if they got to run the same distance untouched. But that doesn't change the fact that Henry was haulin *** on that run!!! That dude is a beast.
In pads and in football situations, I highly doubt he is hitting his max speed between 50 and 60 mph. I tend to doubt that speed, but who knows. There are probably more like 100 guys in the league faster than Henry. Heck, Maybe 200.

From all the talk of miles per hour, .. 40 time .. etc. i know from seeing Henry, he is simply not slowing down after all these years of pounding and toll.

He's still a bona fide breakaway threat - at any given moment , ..not only still getting the 20+ yards runs on a regular basis, ..but also the 60-70 yard take it to the house runs.

That kind of danger and threat is an awesome game changing luxury for your offense ....
Zeke used to be Adrian Peterson like coming out of Ohio State, .. but nowadays he maybe more in the mold of Marshawn Lynch. o_O

AP speed wise maybe but coming out of colleges Zeke was a better player, sorry but zeke had nearly 4k yards rushing and over 2k receiving.. AP had 4k rushing and under 200 yards all 3 years total receivg.in the nfl also not great receiver

zeke was a complete back 3 down blue chip player and ill take lynch as his fall but rather it be Emmitt..

zekes game has slightly declined from college and now hes now emmitt, you know a volume back with little long range burst or top end speed but highly productive and highly durable.

thats Emmitt smith..

ill take it.. either way zekes been great from day one and still productive, hes under appreciated around here..

Derrick Henry....the same running back certain members were saying not long ago that Henry was declining and not the same running back he was the past few years due to the amount of carries he has had.......the same Derrick Henry that is leading the NFL in rushing by by over 250 yards.

why does it bother you so much? and while it may be factual that Zeke had more yards in the first 3 years its only because henry sat behind the guy zeke replaced. (demarco murray) The second Tennessee improved at the QB position henry took off and hasn't looked back and no one has looked as good. That's a fact. @Cowboy Lover is right in saying that Zeke was brought here for Romo and as much as he annoys me Im glad we have him.

But my guess is had we taken Ramsey at 4 and then Henry at 34 we would've been a better team. We would have been better simply by not having Jaylon and having Ramsey next to Byron. Henry also in all likelihood is still there because few organizations are dumb enough to spend such a high draft resource on a RB except the team we root for.

I do like 2021 version of zeke more than the past couple years. also Ramsey would have fleeced jerry for a contract and would still be here.(yes its speculation but based on jerrys history)

What an awesome game to end the weekend as well! Btw anyone lambasting Sean McDermmot today for not kicking the FG? They should be!

to the OP Henry has been doing the same thing since HS. Same running style and speed etc. Nothing has changed at all.

Buddy of mine pointed out that almost all the primetime games have been very good this year.

I love watching big running backs just plow through people. It amazes me that the OU Sooners managed to stop him and Alabama in the Sugar Bowl years ago,,, greatest bowl game ever!
