Is anyone else tired of Parsons being a normal player?

Has anyone else gotten tired of Dallas wasting his talents at linebacker yet and ready to watch him chase QBs again?

Could he be a great linebacker someday? Sure.. But he has a lot of growing to do.

He’s just not making a impact on games anymore and Dallas is helping out opposing offenses playing him this way.

You had legit 1 of the best edge rushers in football and now you have turned him into a mediocre linebacker that we have to hope develops into something sometime down the road.

I just don’t get it and hopefully they come to their senses soon and put him in position to be elite on the field again.

Watching Micah Parsons after the game you can tell he is frustrated with his lack of impact plays and it’s not his fault that the coaches are not putting him in a position for success.

Parsons is a LB, will be a LB, and needs the reps at LB at some point. Do we wait until year 5 to do that?

I'll just file this under "If the coaches don't move Martin to RT then they just don't get it" type of take.
:muttley:

Parsons is a pass rusher pretending to play linebacker.

My Martin take with the information available was the right call and I stand by it. I’m glad Steele he worked out so well but with the information available from last year and how good McGovern was it made sense to make Martin play out wide and I do not regret my opinion at all.

With that said. Steele was more of a unknown commodity.

We get to see Parsons every week and it’s clear as day where he has his biggest impact.

He’s ready right now at this very second to be one of the leagues best pass rushers and instead the Cowboys have elected to play him at linebacker and watch him be mediocre.

Take a look at the snap counts parsons was playing when he was a full time edge vs his snap counts now. IMO, that is the difference. I know your response is going to be you don’t care but obviously the staff cares. They don’t want to take him off the field.

It’s not that I don’t care.

He just isn’t having the same impact.

Less is more with Parsons rushing the edge.

He’s just a normal guy on the field these days and he knows it.

I don’t even see my opinion as debatable.

He may very well be a great linebacker someday. Today is not that day.

As an edge rusher? He was phenomenal.

Linebacker is a position of less value anyways and if he isn’t rushing the QB his talent is wasted.
And just how is he going to be a great LB someday without, you know, actually playing and learning the position?

you aren’t factoring in what you lose when he’s off the field and his replace is in - at LB

I think if we had somebody else at LB that could stop the run we would probably see him more on the edge. But we don't, so he's playing the position he was drafted to play. By all means, but him on the edge from time to time, but at some point he needs to be our best LB.

Yet NO ONE had Parsons as an NFL Passrusher during the draft. Why is that?

I know you hate anyone that may take a coaches side over yours, because you know, you get paid big time money to make those decisions, but I think the coaches may just know a little more than you or I do on the subject and have proven that this year.

So instead of trying to cover for your terrible take on Parsons when he was drafted, just move on and enjoy the season.

“With the information available…”

There is SOOOOOOOOOOOO much behind these four words. The information you have available is far inferior to the information the coaching staff has available.

To put it bluntly, you don’t know your BLEEP! from your own face compared to even the lowest level assistant to an assistant to an assistant to an assistant on this staff when it comes to football in general and this goes double when it comes to this roster relative to football.

This sentence right here sums why you are wrong more often than right.

You think you are smarter than EVERYONE else, but yet, spend all your time on a fans forum instead of making all the "non-debatable" calls as a millionaire NFL head coach.

Too worried about "being right" than "getting it right".

To be fair. Parsons agent himself said he thought Parsons best position would be 3-4 OLB.
