Henry apparently hit 21.80 mph on his 75 yarder

I said at the time of the draft I would be happy either way.. Zeke and a good defender or Henry and a good defender.. Either one worked for me. I would love having Henry on this team but I don't think I would want Ramsey.. This team is wonderfully divaless and that dude is a drama queen. No thanks.. Keep in mind too that if we were willing to run an offense that fed Zeke the ball 25-30 times a game I think we'd be getting similar results as what the Titans are getting.. Though I do think their line is better at run blocking that ours.. But we're a little better at pass blocking.. And why you gotta bring up TJ Watt and harsh my mellow man?
I think I wouldve preferred
Jalen Ramsey (or Deforest Buckner) and Derrick Henry >>> Zeke and Jalen Smith

Just not normally a fan of taking a RB 4th overall. That's worth 3 late 1st round picks in draft capital

..Henry has odd gait when he runs. Its like he's running in slow motion, but hauling ***.

World class sprinters won't hit topend/max velocity until around 60ish meters, now it is sustain/maintain as much of that MV as they can before the decelleration phase. key words....speed endurance. That takes specific over distance training, repeat 300's.

Usain Bolt took longer to hit his MV so he spent less time in that decelleration phase.

NFL players start losing that speed endurance rather quickly, as would track guys without the training.

Derrick Henry is fast especially for a 250 pounder, but in with with legit sprinters, ah...no.

D.K.Metcalf shocked the hell out of me with his 10.3, to run that without real training was amazing. Here we have a 10.15 cat with specific speed training.

You coulda drove a truck through that. Literally a freaking truck. From start to finish.
If that's some meatheads here, they'd be criticizing Zeke for "Needing good blocking".

Henry did HAUL AXE! He put a lot of yards on his stats in that one play.

The funniest thing about that play is that they scored 70 yards of it as "after contact" because somewhere at about 5 yards a defender laid a finger on him. I find that hilarious. Stuff like that is why you gotta watch games and not rely on statsheets and PFF grades..

did you know that henry has more yac than zeke has yards? lol

I also know that they gave Henry 70 yards after contact on the long TD run because a defender's pinky grazed him.. Watch the games man.. don't rely on the stat geeks..

Making him the fastest ball carrier in the NFL this year. As I have been saying to people all year.. Nobody gets to full speed until they've run at least 50-60 yards. If anybody here is going to now argue that Derrick Henry is faster than Tyreke Hill, John Ross, DK Metcalf and the like I got some beachfront property in Arizona I'd like to sell ya. Henry hit that speed because he was able to run 70 yards without being touched. There are 30 guys in the league who could run faster if they got to run the same distance untouched. But that doesn't change the fact that Henry was haulin *** on that run!!! That dude is a beast.
You are 1000% correct but I think of course the Henry mph is impressive because of his size.

Based on the below Formula guys like Hill or Ross whom weight significantly lower than Henry can't run fast enough to generate the type of force Henry gets at top speed....freight train stuff

Force = Mass × Acceleration

In this case, I don't think there's any need to argue about which RB is better. They're both very good, and they both still in their prime. We should just appreciate them both for what they are. I like to watch either.

Amen.. Henry is probably my favorite non-Cowboy to watch play. I just love the running game in general and watching that beast go hamm on teams just warms my heart. I love the fact that the Titans will keep giving him the ball for all four quarters regardless of whether he is racking up big yards along the way. I will never forget that Seattle game where he had like 50 yards on his first 25 carries.. then took the 26th carry 60 yards to the house. I miss the days when we used to do that with Zeke. But I get it.. Too many times our defense doesn't keep the games close enough to stick with the running game and when we need to play catchup our QB and receivers are the better option.. For the Titans, even when they're behind, Henry is still their best option. Sure his usage rate is probably going to catch up to him at some point but as you said, we should just enjoy and appreciate him while we can.

What is the point you're trying to make? That people reach a faster top speed after they've had a few yards to accelerate?

Damn someone hand this guy a Nobel Prize.

... Henry is no brainer with 4n1, 4n2 situations. So big, just plows his way. Zeke can do the same, though might need to trim the sides a bit.

Give me quicks and agility at RB over speed. You gotta have 6 and 8 yards constantly not a once in awhile 70 yarder.

Barry Sanders the best I have seen.

Jim Brown a freak of nature in his day.

Doesn't Derrick Henry do both?

Henry is a beast. Continually stack the box against him and he will eventually bust a huge run.
