Very strange that they would go through the process of that contract just to cut him three days later. It's not like they didn't know Collins was coming back but I guess there's nobody else on the roster they're willing to expose to waivers.

Actually Dallas had to sign him to the 53 last week since they were out of standard practice squad elevations for him (when he could return to the PS without passing through waivers first). From now on when the Cowboys call up Ralston, he'll be a free agent for 24 hours before he can come back to the PS.

..you get the FB days are long gone. That body is easily filled by TE or OL.

He will be missed on special teams particularly the return team. His ability to take on multiple defenders in space running downfield is remarkable.

Patriots coverage was very good. We lost yardage on punt returns. We did have modest success on kickoffs.
