Betchya if he'd covered better in NE, we'd be willing to shave a few points off that breathalyzer? If he'd made the pick, we'd blame the bartender. Pick 6 and you'd drive him around and get him hammered and let him wear that Native American headdress you keep in the trunk.
It's not possible that you know what's in my trunk.

Tempted to say if convicted, cut him. Send the team a message. Sure it'll hurt, but this crap has to go.

Well we were worried about free roster spots for the inured players. I guess this is one way to get one.

Depending on what Dallas knows why wait until conviction if they want to send a message? If they have information that he was at or above the DUI limit in terms of BAC, then send the message now that this behavior will not be tolerated and that this could be a special season in Dallas which will not be interrupted by bad off the field decisions.

I thought drunk driving was legal in Texas........

No. Only wearing loaded guns.
Of course, you can't put something like that on the same level. Weapons have been worn since the Stone Age. Man did not drink until much later.

So BAC has nothing to do with science and is a BS number? The guy admitted to drinking and driving so right there he was wrong. I am shocked the relaxed attitude towards drinking and driving.

It really is kind of bizarre reading the excuses for such a bad decision. And likely only because he’s a Cowboys player.

Isn't being on the Cowboys a get out of jail free card, doesn't the cop know he is supposed to get an autograph for his kid, not arrest players?

You’re in Wilson

Would assume that Hooker goes to deep safety and Wilson takes his place in the strong safety role when we essentially have three safeties out there (with Kearse playing that safety/linebacker hybrid). Good time to get Wilson back if Kazee gets suspended.

It's even worse .. every team in the league will pay for a car service for their players to go out.. there is ZERO excuse. Cut him!

I agree there's zero excuse but I'm not cutting him for a DWI arrest. I do believe a fine is in order.

He’ll likely see a suspension but it might not come until next season. That’s assuming he’s convicted. If he pleads out, maybe for a lesser charge, it’s possible he serves no time.

No, you don't cut him. Cowboys need his services as a player. You bench Kazee and let him stew on the sidelines a couple of games while working his butt off in practice so he can understand the seriousness and severity of a mistake he made in public.

Now, if he had gone and injured someone else due to driving drunk, well, no second chances at that point. You outright cut him on the spot.

You realize the legal limit is .08 and you can be arrested for much less if they feel like it? This is where they trap so many people. .The legal limit used to almost twice this amount. It's an arbitrary number made up on what they consider too drunk to drive. Has zero to do with any science.

It does not take many drinks to get to .08 and many people can easily function under .08, driving included. If you think otherwise, then you would need to go back when the legal limit was way higher and .08 was seen as nothing to see here.

You are assuming he was blackout drunk and had no control over his actions and has a problem.

If he was at .08 or more, nothing else matters. It's the law. He knows it is the law. He willingly chose to break it, thus hurting the team. If convicted, they should cut him. Period. It doesn't matter if you think it's fair or if .08 is nothing...because that's the legal limit.
