Or maybe he doesn't want his family anywhere near that crime infested dump of a city.

That’s the price of the NFL. Have to be willing to go anywhere, unless of course you have skins on the wall.

He can refuse to go there. But not sure the penalty for that. We had a certain TE we were trying to develop (Rico) and JJ paid him to turn down other teams offers. Maybe JJ said he would give him a bonus to stay or maybe he will take his PS pay if The Cowboys keep him.

Was he on the PS or released and waiting to go to PS.

Baltimore is bad but not as bad as Philly. Balt can’t top Kensington Ave yet. Yet being the operative word.

I live outside Baltimore. Haven’t been to the city in 5 years at least. It’s bad. Real bad.

Crime statistics beg to differ. Baltimore rivals Chicago as the most dangerous city to live in our country.

I'm not allowed to tell you why that is here. It's not hard to figure out though.

Not exactly sure but I would think he would go on a special list and remain their property until they release him. Maybe he just has a personal issue he is dealing with and will report shortly. Whatever the case, it seems his fate is in the Ravens' hands right now and there isn't much he can do about it except not play football.

Ravens picked up another OL.

Does that mean Knight back to PS?

Wow. I have to wonder what he is thinking. Ravens are playoff team. Is he hoping he gets back with the Cowboys somehow?

I'm wondering if he'd possibly be a candidate to return to them at some point. It's just puzzling.
Not so sure the rules would allow it, though. Maybe there's a clause where it's allowed.

I also lived outside of the city in the suburbs for years. Prior to us relocating to the DFW area in the last year, trips to the city were on a last resort basis. It’s really gone downhill the last few years and it’s unfortunately making its way to the counties.

Houses in the suburbs are selling like hot cakes. Everyone who can get out of Balt is leaving. 75% or so of high school graduates can’t read or do basic math. It is already becoming a ghost town in many ways.

Since he's not a starter nor was he claimed to be one, I suspect he is attempting to force the Ravens to release their claim on him.

The best way for a non-starter player who has been claimed to do that is to refuse to show, wait until the team signs another player, then inform the team you are coming.

If the team releases the newly signed player instead of you, then you back out again and refuse to show.

Most teams are not going to go through with a headache process for a backup player in most cases so they will likely give up, release him and move on.

Thanks. I was wondering how this might work.

This is legit Cowboy news. Knight was cut and did not report. Knight might prefer the Cowboy PS rather than the Ravens. Maybe he has a hot Dallas girlfriend with a high-paying job and she said no way to a move.
*IF* a guy is willing to not play if he can't play in Dallas, then it likely speaks to the atmosphere created in the locker room among the players as one these guys have totally bought into

The thing with the Ravens though is they have so many players on IR that they do not even have 53 on the roster so they could do that dance all day and not care.
