In a redraft, who goes first, Lamb or Diggs?

Hell, if we're using their current play, that's easy, Diggs. In fact, he's probably selected 3rd overall after Joe Burrow and Chase Young.

Interestingly, Young is experiencing a major sophomore slump so far....

Diggs is playing like a HOFer and will probably be the DPOY. CeeDee is emerging to level 1 WR status, but what Diggs is doing is unreal.

Looking back at the 2020 draft and the skill development, Lamb was a surefire steal for the Cowboys in the first round.

Now, it's hilarious... Diggs is looking so great at corner, that some teams might draft him ahead of Lamb for the unreal production in 2021.

What a nice problem to have... and an interesting question... who gets drafted first in a hypothetical re-draft?
I won’t be derogatory whatsoever. I won’t play that too many scenario game. Plain and simple digs without a doubt

Anybody who chooses anyone else. In my opinion just doesn’t get it.

Diggs goes first.

That was an odd draft and everyone was grabbing a CB. Diggs would've probably been a first rounder in other years.

In a lot of ways teams were throwing darts because so many CB's had good grades.

With 2021 hindsight Diggs would've gone earlier.

Lamb also would not have fallen to Dallas. He most surely would not be the third WR taken in a redraft.

Yep, the draft was strong on both WR's and CB's.....I mean Diggs was the 7th CB taken.

The interesting question would be what would we have done if there wasnt a stand out CeeDee pick available at 17. McKinney was the only name we were strongly linked with and lets be fair, our secondary was the glaring need.

This may appear revisionist, but I had us taking Diggs (even trading down in the first round), his only weakness was his tackling which was negated as he's a ball hawk.

We've had two, potentially, franchise changing drafts, that with the harsh/but prudent letting go of Jaylon shows this team is now making some sound football decisions.....long may it continue.

So hypothetically, if Deon Sanders and Randy Moss were in the same draft and we knew what we know now....I'm taking...... Ah hell, I'm going back to Techmo Bowl where we didn't have these problems! lol
Lol!

This is like asking who's prettier, Rosie O'Donnell, Or Shakira? There were 3 CBs drafted before CD Lamb. Going by what we know now, of course it would be Diggs.

Diggs. Wide receivers are now a dime a dozen. Six were taken in the first round Lamb's draft - he being the third taken. Seven were taken in the second round.

Six corners were taken in the first round compared to three in the second.

I remember when the Cowboys were desperately looking for Michael Irvin's replacement, trading for Joey Galloway and eventually Roy Williams. Now, teams don't have to be as desperate and simply can wait to pick their go-to receiver because the college game is a more wide-open passing game. Correspondingly, teams are looking for corners to cover these big wide receivers with skills that yield few pass interference or holding penalties.

With all respect to Lamb, Diggs is more valuable to a team because there are so few cornerbacks with his skills. And don't be fooled - his skills to cover, track a ball and hands to catch it like a receiver, then the elusiveness to navigate the field and score TWO pick sixes is HUGE!

Diggs. Hands down.

With the 2020 season, and the current season as a gauge of production,GM's/player personnel departments would probably view Herbert, Burrow, & Diggs as the first 3 picks of 2020 draft.

I'm taking Deion 10 times out of 10.

Randy was great, but he didn't put anyone over the top - not with the GOAT and not playing with one of the best wide receivers ever.

Deion was on undisciplined teams with the Falcons, but single-handedly made the Falcons contenders. And he tipped the scales in the 49ers-Cowboys rivalry in the 90s.

Plus, Deion played receiver and was pretty good at it. He was a triple threat - offense, defense and special teams.

I'd still say they'd put Young (the pass rusher) before Diggs. But I like your thinking.

If we could turn back the clock on that draft; we would not be able to draft either player. Lamb and Diggs would have went higher. It turned out wonderful for us.

I'd like to see a redraft of that entire draft. I think they both would be top 10 picks, maybe top 6-8. No chance Dallas could get either of them.

Diggs. It is harder to find a CB with his ball skills than it is to find a receiver of lambs skills. Just look at the numbers. Other teams have receivers with lambs numbers esp if you add them up as a group. But Diggs has more interceptions than most teams. If he does this multiple years in a row you won't need to wait to give him a hold jacket, get it ready.

Diggs is having a great year, but it is unrealistic for a CB to to have these type years over and over. Lamb will score a lot of TDs as a Cowboy and many games will be won because of his playmaking ability. Diggs will be good, but there is no way that he will repeat his productivity year to year. Diggs is not the second coming of Deion. I would pick Lamb every time over a CB.

Diggs and it’s not even close but both easily go top 10. Diggs has 9 Ints in his last 10 games and there is talk of him being the best CB in the game and DPOTY. Herbert goes 1, Burrows probably goes 2 but Diggs has to be no.3 in a re-draft now.

The real question for me is what order do the WR’s go in a re-draft. You could argue that Jefferson, Claypool, and Tee Higgins had better rookie season than Lamb but I think Lamb is back to the no.2 spot in production (behind Jefferson) and certainly an option as no.1 with the potential he’s shown.

Yeah I thought about the receivers....Lamb is having the better year this year....Jefferson had the great rookie campaign. I think most teams would still take Lamb over Jefferson though.
