Used to be so strong, I often felt like whoever won the NFCE always had the best shot at winning the SB. Or at least the NFC.
Because they were already playing against some of the top teams in the NFL. Or at least the more competitive teams.
Even the Cards were tough at times.

so yeah, not so much anymore.
Yeah I remember those days! Good football

Why do the NFC East get such a bad reputation THiS year (NFC least) when the NFC North , AFC east and South are all worst in my opinion. Detroit, Miami, Jets and/ or Jags are way worst than the Giants and Philly... Washington is a middle of the pack team.. ‍♂️
With the entire division having losing records last year....and the possibility that 3 teams may repeat a sub- .500 performance this season...the criticism is warranted.
However - much of the derisiveness stems from the fact that these four franchises have past periods of success throughout their history; and for two of the teams - NYG and PHL - it has been in the first two decades of this century. So the anomalies of 2020 & 2021 (so far) stand out.

Hopefully the Cowboys can finally take advantage of this weak division and secure the best playoff seeding. The Forty Niners, Packers and Patriots all enjoyed many seasons where their division was pure crap and an automatic 6 wins on their record.

I’ve wondered this too. Like everyone talks bad about the NFC East yet I just saw the Chiefs struggle against the Football Team. Most of these teams seem to.
Struggle? They blew them out when all was said and done

Some of those other divisions' teams have more to look forward to and future upside. All the Giants and Eagles have is draft picks and WFT is a league embarrassment.

Honestly, I think the league has it in for Snyder. With all his scandals and reticence to change the team’s name, they want him gone and they want to make owning the WFT as difficult as possible.

I'm for realignment:
Dallas, KC, New Orleans, Houston.

Washington, Philly and New York fans don't deserve to see the 'boys twice a year anymore. Give some other fan-bases a chance.

Washington is a very bad team. However your point is correct. AFCE might be the worst outside of Buffalo

I think Washington is a very disappointing team, but I don’t think they’re a very bad team. They’re one game shy of .500 and the teams they’ve lost to are probably all playoff teams. Chargers, Chiefs, Bills will make the playoffs with relative ease. The Saints may get in as the 7th seed or so, so that’s one they should have gotten. I think all in all, they still end up 7-10 or 8-9

NFCE is only seen as the bottom of the barrel when Dallas has a firm grip on the division

Or... he's a bad owner and didn't set a ethical standard for his organization?

Jerry would NEVER allow the Texans to be in the same conference!!!
