Does anyone know why NBC went away from the John Williams score for their opening after 2008?

-This was recommended on Youtube for me so I decided to watch again. Few observations.

-Romo played very good minus a couple of bad throws. I thought he played worse when it happened.

-on the flipside, the 4th quarter exposed the lack of leadership from Romo. The game was still winnable and he started unraveling. Yelling at olinemen, refs, etc

-the oline failed him in the 4th quarter. It was embarassing. And Leonard davis with the dumb unnecessary roughness on Strahan in the 4th quarter after a big first down

-the defense was undisciplined and made so many dumb mistakes. Ware/Ellis jumping offsides on 3rd downs. Roy giving space to Ahmad Bradshaw on a 3rd down. Henry with the most pathetic tackle attempt on the first touchdown.

I take back the bad things I said about your boy @WillieBeamen he balled out

Patrick Crayton:facepalm:

Oh AND ya boy Garrett was calling plays like an idiot in the second half. Every second down was a run play if first down was a pass

Also, the defense to end the first half was sad. Jacque Reeves facemask call topped off the nonsense.

Romo isn’t a leader. He never was. He had his buddies. There’s a big difference. Ans that’s ok. It’s not a slight some people just have that trait

They ran MBIII into the ground too early. He was ineffective in the 2nd half.
Giving up a TD before the half with something like 40 seconds on the clock was ridiculous.
Crayton was terrible in that game, uncharacteristically missing on a number of big plays.
I never did like the Phillips/Garrett combo. The team was weak minded.

Romo played very good minus a couple of bad throws? lol He completed 50% of his passes which was way down from his season average and one of his bad throws was picked in the endzone to end our chances. Don’t know why any Cowboys fan would want to relive this game. It was one of the most disappointing losses in franchise history.

Despite the end result, which don't get me wrong sucked, I had a ton of fun watching that season. The Boys were just rolling. I was convinced that was our year. Stoopid Giants.

The game was too big for Romo. The way that game ended was just brutal. He chucked the football into three defenders in the end zone.

Come to think of it, there were a lot of games that were too big for free agent Romo. I was always under the impression that Tony tried too hard as he wasn’t drafted and wanted to prove he belonged.

It was a fun season to watch until the wheels started coming off in December. Can’t remember a Cowboys team limping into the playoffs like that team did. In November the team and Romo we’re playing lights out! The lights completely went out in late December and January.

People will make up whatever they want to make a hero look good. He went to Cabo and came back and was not sharp at all in that playoff game. Crayton obviously dropped a huge pass but Romo was not himself in that game compared to the season.

Romo carved the Giants up the first two times we played them that season for 8 TD passes. By November he was playing some of the best football of his career. I don’t think he had a passer lower than 101.0 in November. The season started going horribly wrong for him in December and January. He had something like 10 turnovers and his passer ratings plummeted.

His December numbers weren’t very good until 2014 if I remember correctly. May be wrong.

That’s when his December numbers started improving in 2014. Prior to that there was a huge contrast between his November numbers and his December/January numbers. He was Mr. November. One of the networks even documented the contrast between his November numbers and his December/January numbers. He simply wasn’t on his game when it mattered most. That started changing some in 2014. He played very well in our win over Detroit in the playoffs in 2014 and he also played well against Green Bay despite the loss. He didn’t suffer a turnover in either game.

Romo banged up his thumb in the Eagle game in December. He hit it on a helmet. He wasn't the same for the rest of the season. Couple that with TOs high ankle sprain, and the passing game was not operating at full strength.
