Ted Lasso deserved every emmy it won. Phenomenal show, great writing. Amazing mix of hilarious jokes with real characters. Good review into humanity.
They delivered that series at the exact best time they could have. I looked at every episode as therapy for the pandemic and every time I get all down on the human race and how stupid we could be, Ted would show me there is hope for us after all and lift me higher than I was before I watched.

I get then same feelings I got from MASH all those years. Made me laugh, but above all, made me feel.

The timing absolutely was awesome but I’d like to believe that it would have been great even without the pandemic. That’s me being an optimist though.

Watched the first episode of Lupin on Netflix.
The show itself was pretty good but the dubbing is really distracting.

Netflix has done a pretty good job lately of good dubbing for the foreign shows but this one is not one of them at least from the first episode.

It is one thing to be a little off but when it is so off that it looks like the audio and video is off by over a second it is bad.
But even beyond that, whoever they got to do the voice for the main character to be in English just does not match right. I expect a voice with more bass or deeper tone in it. Just throws it off for me. Normally how the voice sounds does not bother me but it does on this show..again at least the first episode. Maybe if I continue to watch it I will get use to it and not bother me as much.

Billions, Showtime. Bobby Axe says goodbye in the last episode of season 5. I’m betting that he makes a triumphant comeback…Hopefully!

Limited series on Neftlix
Midnight Mass
Iffy on this one. Liked parts of it but found it slow and a bit silly at other times.
However I will say this. There is a woman on there that played her character well enough that you wanted to have someone slap the crap out of her lol.

No one gets out alive.
Not really that good.
However I will say I liked the Montster or Creature. It was so bizarre looking that it least it was kind of original compared to other's in the genre.

I have one more episode to go but I have to agree with your review. It's okay but Episode 7 seemed like a joke to me or at least half serious.

I finished The Defeated on Netflix. It is basically a crime drama set in 1946 Berlin. Could have been a 2 hour movie but The characters were worth developing so it is not terrible. I give it about a 6 maybe. I didn't feel miserable of put off while watching it. It sets up for another season if Netflix chooses to renew it. I am not holding my breath till season 2 comes out though. There are other shows I am looking forward to.

Netflix, there is a series of docs, The Movies That Made Us, about the making of specific films and some behind the scenes info and the latest group they dropped in are in the Horror genre. The one on Halloween is really good but the one on Aliens is excellent. Those who, like me, get tired of the overuse of CGI will really enjoy the artists and craftsmen that brought Aliens together. It is a better film now that I have watched this doc on the making of it.

Tried it and too TV soap opera for me. I am not a Brian Cox fan, one of the most limited actors I've ever tried to watch. Saw him on an awards show and realized he's not acting, just playing himself.

Yes. Season 1 wasn't that good. Season 2 was great. I watched episodes 1 and 2 this season and I haven't decided yet if it get a thumbs up. Some people love this show and others hate it. I am not everyone understands it is a satiric comedy.

Dune was amazing.

Yes it was. Loved it!

Worst part though was I didn't realize this is Part 1, and I guess they haven't officially started Part 2.

C'mon HBOMax, don't pull a Netflix on us and yank the plug in the middle of the season!

The Girl Next Door on Netflix.
This is not the comedy movie that many may be thinking about.
This is anything but a comedy.
It is based on actual events.

Two young girls and their parents were in a car crash. The parents died. The older girl had some scars and the younger sister was put into the braces you would have seen on polio kids.
The movie is set in the 50s.

The girls move in with their aunt and her 3-4 boys.

The aunt is freaking sadistic and a few of her boys are as well.

This is one of the more disturbing movies I have seen in a very long time and it makes it even more disturbing due to it being based on a real story.

It truly makes one weep for society that there were people really this twisted...especially the aunt.
