a rule put in place in the 70’s
Look it up I forget the name of it, but it was from an old Oakland Raiders game.

Fumble-rooski or something like that.

I think it was Kenny Stabler was getting tacked or sack near the goal line. He purposely fumbled it forward where his OL was who recovered it it. I think it was for a TD and won the game.

It is for any 4th down play, regardless where at on the field. Only the player that fumbled it can advanced it.
Raiders Chargers ....the Snake fumbled it forward, Van Ehgen tried to pick it up and pushed it forward , then Casper kind of rolled it a forward and landed on it in the end zone.....was bizaar....took the refs a while to officially call it a TD....great play!

If boards like these were around when Madden was broadcasting I guess he'd have been called a hater too as much as he gushed over Montana, Rice, and Favre.
Madden loved him some Favre.......cause he was old school.

I liked that. Madden and Farve for that matter, were special, IMO.

what i took from this

a team with an OL, run game and solid skill players with a backup qb, a solid dependable one can win games in this league. Case keenum played well.

like Dalton could for us

not rush or grier

daks calf is a concern or any injury moving forward

we need some insurance

Case Keenum seems like one of the more qualified back ups in the league. A position difficult for teams to fill. If they play defense they can win some more without Mayfield
