what point was made? Obviously only 1 can win... the point is if you have the elite QBs, you are in the running to win the SB. With avg qb, the only real shot you have is if your D is ELITE.

Why you think P Manning only played in 3 Sbs? because Big Ben, and Brady were filling the gap as well.
Not sure why you're explaining this to me.....preaching to the choir

1a) Running game
1b) QB solid
1c) Defensive takeaways

I agree with this. There's rarely a single reason why a team is winning. The running game means Dak doesn't have to try to carry the whole load himself. That's a GOOD thing. The defense playing well is also a huge blessing. Their takaways give the offense opportunities they otherwise would not have had.

Dan Marino and Dan Fouts were one solid running game away from Super Bowl championships.

Fake news.. Chuck Muncie was a beast for the Chargers.. The 1984 Dolphins had three backs that got at least 495 yards and averaged at least 4.2 ypc and one of them averaged over 5.0. Both Fouts and Marino were their own worst enemies because they refused to lean on the running game when they had one.. When the going got tough they audibled to a pass.

Muncie wasn't nothing special.
And you proved my point about Marino.

NFL teams have a 69% win percentage when their quarterback has a 100.00+ Passer Rating:omg:

Great Quarterbacks simply make their team win. There is no “great” QB with a losing record. Our Quarterback made the jump to elite this season... and that’s the real reason we’re winning. Somebody like Baker Mayfield would have us below .500. Browns have more talent than the Cowboys on both sides of the ball and won’t even make the playoffs.
maybe
but we are 23rd in team D and last year we were 23rd, BUT we went from I think 18th in turnovers to 2nd , so it could be that that is the biggest difference.

You can talk about balance all you want, and our offense has loads of talent, but remove Dak, and watch how crappy that offense becomes... with the same coaches and players around the qb position.
Watch how the same cee dee that everyone is raving about, becomes non existent.

No mistake was made as Jerry didn't believe in him 2 years ago and the same holds firm today.
Yes, they are trying to find a trade partner but I fear to no avail.
Expect Prescott to be released and have Winston's fate in FA.
Cowboys will move up in the Draft and select a QB with their 1st rounder.
Dalton will start the 2021 season.
That's all for now folks.....

Not quite sure what kinda quarterback play could have rescued last year's oline and last year's defense so I hope this year's oline health continues and the defense continues to improve.

A really popular poster's catchphrase here last year was the offense was at historic levels thru 5 games prior to the QB injury. And that was at a 1-4 win/loss record.

Kirk Cousins constantly flirts with end of year stats of 70%, 3 to 1 TD/int ratio yet loses most all games to winning teams.

I haven't paid close enough attention to Cousins this year to know if he has a historically bad dee or injury plagued o line this year to compare to Prescotts last year.

Guess it would be interesting to see if there are similarities to watch when they face each other in another week.

I think the % of importance changes per the team we play....Thats the great thing about this team this year...If it needs to be 60%-40% run to pass on offense..it can be...90%-10% pass to run ..it can be...Dak is taking the snaps and getting the ball to who needs to get it...that is what in my eyes makes him the MVP of this offense. The defense has the most room for improvement and is doing it which is why in my eyes they are the reason why our record is so much better..

Once again I’m not denying that he needs help. The statement I made was he makes everything go. If Andy Dalton is our quarterback right now we are not 5-1.
I would say the turnovers have been JUST as vital a factor in our record as Dak's play.

It was evident during his rookie year that Dak was a starter.

Tell us again about your little story about you and your friend at a bar/restaurant and when you saw Dak throw his first pass in his first preseason game that you KNEW he was going to be great. lol. I used to love fairy tales when I was a child.

Pretty sure we still win our division and make the playoff if Keenum is our QB. Dalton is absolute trash.
