We are already 3 games up after 6 games played. Does anyone know the largest margin , meaning the most games we’ve ever won our division by.

We have the potential to breaking our own record with the rest of our divisional opponents struggling to reach .500.

1968 team won the Capital Division by 5 games with a record of 12-2 The Giants finished second with a record of 7-7.

Most Cowboys victories in the 16-game NFL season: 13. Garrett, Phillips, and Johnson each coached one.
12- win seasons...Garrett and Switzer have one, Johnson has two, Landry has four.
All of the top 14-game regular season records were obtained under Landry, of course.

I provided the information to show just how outstanding the Cowboys teams became after just a few seasons beginning as an expansion team.
Anyone want to research that 5 games is the largest margin for an NFL team to win a division in the regular season..both before the Super Bowl era - and since?

I certainly can’t think of another season besides 1968 where we won division by 5 games.

This year, 15-2, and will win by 8 games. as WFT finished 7-10 for 2nd place. :D

We drop the last game to Philly, 13-10 on a last second FG. Set up by a bogus penalty, as most of the starters rest.

This division could belong to Dallas by Thanksgiving.

Right now the Cowboys have five wins. And Washington plus Philly plus New York have five wins......combined.

Let's see if we can break the Eagles record. They won the division in 2004 by having a 13-3 record when New York, Dallas and Washington all went 6-10. That's the all time biggest margin.

That 3 game lead in the division is going to disappear with Dak out.

So this is what it felt like to be 49er and Patriot fans all those years when they had zero competition in their division for like 20 years.
