It's actually dumb.

Let's say, God forbid, your spouse is having a medical issue and they spot something that may or may not be cancer. More tests are needed. Should you not worry about it since you have no ability to affect the outcome?

Does this also mean don’t worry about outcome of games? We have no influence one way or the other.

Dumb. You worry because you care.
Worry is not the same as concern or caring. Worry is actually bad for you and your health. Worrying about the outcome of a Cowboys game is really such a waste. It is a great philosophy in your life to do your best to not worry.

Did the MRI reveal any concerning tears or swelling to Dak's calf muscle or ligaments? Based on Cowboys comments and reactions it appears to be a mild strain. If it is more serious than the Cowboys let on
then one of the backups will be taking the reps likely sooner than later. The bye week came at a convenient time.
Not convenient enough. Dak will try to play in Minnesota but his calf injury will flare up again.

For a QB, leg injuries are not as devastating as upper body injuries. If these were back/collarbone/throwing shoulder/elbow injuries then it would be a major problem long-term. Those types of injuries have ruined many QBs over the years.

Dak may continue to lose some mobility but he was never a full running QB anyway.

For his 1st 4 years, he never missed a game. He was a tank. But starting last year, he missed most the year. Needed 2 surgeries on his ankle. Then gets a new injury in his shoulder in the offseason. And now a calf strain. I am not going to start comparing him to Romo at all but I hope we don't see these injuries start to pop up every year and we get to what Romo became where it was always something every season. This is what separated him from Romo.

The medical staff (as well as Dak) are monitoring and attending to his mild calf strain, recovery and healing process. If it is in his best functional health interest to not play in the Minnesota game the medical staff will so advise.
So let's just wait and see.

Yeah right, you know how headstrong Dak is. He's not going to let them stop him from playing.

I don't doubt Dak would want to continue playing even if he lost a limb on the field, but McCarthy and the Cowboys organization would not risk the serious disruption of a promising winning season with questionable backups over a number of games.
I get your concern JoeKing it's not improbable for Dak's calf strain to flare up again, but at the same token it's not improbable for him to be ok. So posting-wise it's back to wait an see.

It's easier for me to just convince myself of the worst and then I'll be prepared for it or pleasantly surprised if things aren't so bad.
