No, he’s carrying this team. The defense is being gashed every week.

I'm not sure your definition of carrying the team is the same as anyone else's. You don't carry the team when your running game is one of the best in the league, when your receiving corps is one of the best in the league and when your offensive line is one of the best in the league. Having a quarterback who is also one of the best in the league complements all that to give you an offense that can overcome an opportunistic but leaky defense.

Other than the turnover success on defense, you could rightfully say the offense is carrying the defense.

This is a flat out lie. He may have the best 4 wr's in football going from 1-4. His offensive line is awesome. Pollard is underrated. While the defense hasn't been great, the turnovers have been. Far from carrying the team.

When receivers start calling their own audibles, and throwing the ball to themselves, while dodging defenders who slip past the OL, I might agree with your comments. I'd suggest Dak is carrying this team with accuracy, audibling into the right play, correcting the blocking scheme on the fly, and being the unquestioned leader of this team.

I appreciate every player on the field and on the bench. But to suggest Dak is a bus driver is something I would expect from a graduate from Bob Henley's school for the blind, and not a fan who actually watches the games.

Dak has been awesome but the offense better be good. The whole team is built around it. As good as they have been it feels like they could even be better. The main reason we have hope is that the defense has overperformed. Thankfully it feels like it is sustainable because it is a high effort team oriented plan. And of course their is Diggs who is the ultimate difference maker this year.

Dak is carrying the offense all by himself? So I guess the running game hasn't helped, nor has the o-line or all the turnovers the defense is getting.

Cool story, though....

When the team loses it's a team loss, but when they're winning it's because Dak is carrying the team all by himself. Do I have this right???

Dak wouldn't agree with this comment and insist it's a team effort, so why do his underwear munchers insist he is carrying the team all by himself?

Yet another Dak is all that matters as this is the Dallas Dakites. Same poster same BS!!!

Oh, but same poster admits the obvious:

"Must be a balanced attack. That's what wins Super Bowls. That and a solid defense and special teams."

But yet Dak is carrying the team. What a joke.

They are playing as a team but the pats game Dak was clutch. He put them on his shoulders and carried them down making plays with his arm. That was bellycheats plan was to take the run away. In the past we would have lost that game.

Dak and the offense are definitely carrying this team. However I don't think the defense is as bad as the stats show. Dak and the offense have gotten the Cowboys off to great starts and put the team ahead for most games. Even the Bucs game they went toe to toe with Brady down to the last minutes of the game and should've won except for some missed FG's. Don't get me wrong, the defense allowing all those yards in the 3rd and 4th quarters is not a good thing. Too many big chunk gains being made on the defense throughout the game but mostly when the defense is behind. I'm hoping that the more playing time the youngsters get under their belt, the return of some studs like D-Law will improve the defense. Then we have Gallimore, Joseph and maybe Hill to add. This defense doesn't have to be elite because Dak and the offense can carry the team but when it gets to the playoffs they will need to certainly play better. The Bucs won the Super Bowl last year more because of their defense than their offense.
I love Dak as much as you do but it is an overstatement to say that he is carrying the team. We are winning games because there are many people making huge contributions towards the wins. We wouldn't be 5-1 without Dak but I would argue that we wouldn't be 5-1 without Diggs, Gregory, Zeke, etc. I know that you are only making this proclamation to piss off Dak detractors but you have taken it too far with this one. Having said that, there is no quarterback that I would rather have under center than Dak. Go Cowboys!!!

Dak has carried his team on his back but with that strained calf, those days are over. The Cowboys may not win another game this season until Dak's calf gets right.

Dak is playing out of his mind but the team just looks ready every week, and coaching has a lot to do with it.

I can't remember the last Dallas game I watched where we had 500 plus yards of offense, a pick six, and a blocked punt. Did it last Sunday.
And it took every bit of that to beat a 2-3 team with a Rookie QB.

We’ll see how this much improved Cowboys team stacks up against the best teams in the league in January. That will be the ultimate test.

In the meantime , enjoy the ride . This Cowboys team could be a tough out with our offense.

But we must remember much like in our glory years we often faced another team which was similarly talented and had better performances. And sometimes the best team doesn’t always win in a one game elimination.

There’s much reason for excitement this season for Cowboy fans but in January there will be stiff competition with the same goal and desire in play . And some of those teams with more experience .

The offense will only get better with the return of Collins and Gallup. The key to defense will be the pass rush with Parsons, Tank, and Gregory. We need consistent get a pass rush on 3rd downs. It will cause more turnovers and punts. We really need Joseph to step up and be our third corner. The Bucs, Rams, and Cardinals have at least 3 elite receivers plus tight ends and running backs. We have to force turnovers or get off the field on 3rd down to beat those teams. Who’s dumb idea was it to eliminate the second bye? I have a feeling the Cowboys get the second seed in the NFC.

Are we supposed to apologize for giving our qb talent? Isn't that the point of team building?
Yeah it is funny how before the season started none of our receivers were rated in the top 10 wide receivers in the league, Zeke was washed, and the offensive line was old/injured. Now that the Cowboys have Dak back and are 5-1 now they have the best talent in the league. I guess if we had a mediocre quarterback when Dak went down we would have made the playoffs. Oh wait……..:eek:
