Here is the way I look at it. The Cowboys staff isn't going to re-sign or let Connor Williams go based on what Cowboys fans or certain media think one way or the other. They are more knowledgeable, study quality game tape with highly experienced eyes, dissect individual and group performance of plays in meetings with players, coaches and coordinators present.

Then again, they also thought Chaz Green could play.

I proved it. It was in the highlights video I provided. Plus, like I said, if you watched the game, you would have known. A total of 4 times throughout the game (in between the 20s and at the goal line). You simply refuse to accept it.
Ok and I keep asking you when was it 4th and 1 to even have Zeke magically jump over the defense for I guess you think 2 yards? Who the hell jumps over a pile for 2 yards? It makes no sense. I'm trying to get you to understand that but you are refusing to see it. It is what it is. I'm not trying to fight or go back and forth. I thought we were having a legit conversation but it seems there's some disconnect somewhere.

Either that or a backup -- there are no guarantees with a FA. We'll see.
He won't be a backup. 64 starting guards in the league on 32 teams....... Williams is not worst than 64, he is more in the 30s. Watch other teams and you will see how bad OL is around the league.

100 percent Williams will be a starter somewhere next year if he doesn't get injured.

Hell, Chaz Green is a starter and we know how terrible he was

CW is a weak link. A liability. He will cost us a big game unless we fix this situation. Refs scrutinize him because words been out for a couple years that he holds. We saw that in NE. Refs feasted on him. Even if they are phantom calls..he gets attention from the refs. NOT GOOD.

I just feel that Refs scrutinize the Cowboys more than any other team. I can't recall a team that gets so many phantom calls against them.

I also watch a lot of Pats games. Not by choice but because of association. Their franchise gets so many calls that goes for them rather than against. Just ask the Jets, Buffalo and the Raiders.

I don't know there is some kind of conspiracy going on. But it's been true for many years now and it's becoming the norm that some teams get more calls than others.

CW is more than capable. His issues partly stem from being required to help the center. Fix the center and CW will be back to normal.

Yet Hes not!

befuddled, why ?? because your super awesome coaching of pro football players has been career move of yours..hows that career going? remind me who you are to the NFL scouting department maybe? gm? OL coach lmao

The point of the video is quite the opposite..

yes the penalties are issue but fans are picking 2 plays maybe 3 out of SIXTY snaps that's 60

so he may not be PB player but hes solid starter sure you dont pay this player big money but those are NOT easily replaceable by just anyone..

look around he league Cwill what most normal starters look like.. just because we have 2 HOF PB players and another PB RT in Collins around him and got used to these type of OL in our past

ALL FIVE (5) OL cant be PB types for sure not HOF types..hes ben overly judged buy his much better OL next to him..

Some here think he's good enough and some don't. You might tolerate seeing him encourage flags to be thrown and that's your prerogative.

I don't question the fact that he's trying to be a solid starter but the fact of the matter is that, despite his efforts, he'll never live up to that level.

Inviting flags to be thrown at the most horrendous times isn't his only failing. Allowing excessive pressures surely aren't desirable tendencies.

EVERY player is replaceable at some point.

That's true enough but CW had been there early in his career and still hasn't managed to dispel it after a significant amount of time.

I'd be willing to accept him as a capable backup but as far as being a reliable LG, he's not. Being a backup suits his skill level better.

I still don't understand why they didn't help him in that infamous 6 sack game.

Every olineman does not hold as much as you say. There is no excuse for holding and jumping offsides as much as Williams does. Williams is a very average OG and going through film and picking out his best plays is not a honest evaluation of him. The one honest thing that the narrator says is that he don’t know a lot about the oline.

I’m watching these running plays and the backs are in contact with the defense almost immediately . Not sure what “ highlight “ this is , the play of the Pats D line ? Aside from the penalties which I don’t hear Terrence Steele on an island get called for all these holding and offside penalties that 52 seems to rack up, teams like the Jets Lions Jaguars the bottom of the fish tank will throw too much $$ at a free agent guard. You can’t keep everyone , churn the roster good bye Willams and LVE.
