They didn't come "pretty close" lol. When a player high steps or celebrate going into the end zone....its because they know they won't be catched. Zeke and Lamb knew exactly where the defender was.

I guess when you're 5-1 this is the stuff you have to complain about lol.
Leon Lett thought he was gonna score too
It’s just better to get in the end zone before you celebrate getting in the end zone
The risks are getting stripped, tackled or called for taunting

I hope the coaches get on the players about stopping their early celebrations going into the endzone.
They need to get their butts in the endzone and then flaunt.
First it was Zeke against the Giants? high-stepping at the 5 yardline and then getting nailed by the defender. Then it was Lamb getting the same treatment against the Pats when he was going into the endzone.
Both instances came pretty close to the ball being knocked out or them suffering potential injuries after being tagged by he defenders. This may not seem like a big deal but they are little things that could turn into big things if they aren't careful.

Neither of those were even close. Hence them celebrating before they got in.

You people just find any little thing to gripe at. It's sports. It's fun. Entertainment. They knew what they were doing. This is not dropping the ball before they get into endzone.

I agree, and I considered making this post right after the game, but I was too happy and enjoying the moment. With that being said, it only takes the slighten poke, or bobble, to make that ball go out throught the endzone, and it a turnover instead of a touchdown. Just get in the damn endzone, then celebrate as much as you want. Just ask Dak.

As long as the Boys don’t get called for taunting, let em…, on the flip side, they do need to maintain their composure. I.e. penalties after a play.

Lamb almost got shoved out before scoring. I hope it happens to make these guys think twice about doing it. OP’s right.
He didn't lol. He let up because there was no way he wasn't going to score. The only way Mills was going to catch him was if he tackled him or pushed him and both would've ended up as scores. Now if Lamb had gotten hurt for showboating? That's something in itself.

That's what I liked about Michael Irvin. He never showboated once that I can remember. He let his play do the talking.
NEVER OMG LMAO he always celebrated that first down late ball drop and many OTHERS..

chad Ocho sinco.. i mean the man changed his name to a celebration alter ego

Are we talking about the same Irvin? He celebrated 1st downs to the point it pissed Madden off when he did that 1st down gesture that he remarked "I didn't notice him having a signal on the pass he dropped a couple of plays ago". Summerall just let that go, he knew better. Madden was actually the first announcer I ever heard use the phrase "act like you've been there before", he was as old school as Lombardi, Grant and Landry.

And speaking of Tom, you remember how hard Pearson was trying to hide from the "Landry Look" after he spiked the ball and came down and twisted his knee. Tom actually stepped out onto the field when Pearson tried to disappear within the sideline, there was no hiding for Drew. That must have been how Frodo felt when Sauron said "I see yooooouuuuu".

Its honestly is no different from taunting. Its the biggest reason why I don't like Zeke. Dude celebrate after getting 5 yards. Dude, it your damn job to get those yardages.

Irvin NEVER celebrated. Your memory is off.

And funny Drew Pearson story. It was before I started following in 1994.

Just to clarify, I don't mind them celebrating, just secure the touchdown and celebrate after.
Don't put themselves or the ball in any necessary harm.
rewatch both Zeke and Lamb's TD... the ball or the TD was NEVER at risk.

What's "classy" is debatable. I prefer to remember that this is entertainment and nothing they did hurt the team, only your archaic sensibilities.
It probably put a target on his back, which could hurt the team. You can remember whatever you like, but they're not just pretending to hit each other out there.
