Cowboys have a lot of help on the way...the defense will only get better as the season goes on.

Every team gets big plays on all defenses. That is the way the NFL is structured. Watch all the games and you will see big plays. If Dallas played any of the teams you pointed out, we would torch the defense with big plays, or run at will if they played the pass. Not sure why we all can't enjoy the wins??

I’ve seen the Cowboys do this because I watch them every week , standing a player up trying to strip the ball instead tackling him next thing you know the player has picked up an additional 5 or 6 yards. Sloppy tackling. I know all teams do it but it’s not fundamental tackling. If you stop the guy in his tracks gee they may have to punt .

At onset of season did not expect defense to be as improved over last year as we have witnessed thus far.

we knew offense could ball.

Now based on the pleasant surprise due to takeaways and timely plays we are comparing ourselves to the top teams in NFC to wonder if this team is for real.

But honestly I think most were hoping for a payoff opportunity at the beginning of the season due to so many unknowns including Dak return from injury.

Given all that I am pleasantly surprised and currently rank NFC

Arizona and Tampa Bay as top two teams. Cowboys 3, Green Bay 4.

There is a noticeable drop after those four teams.
Rams Saints and Seattle are next.

after that, I don’t see any other teams doing more than 9-8

It's the new NFL where every game is a coin flip...if you got a good offense. It's better odds than we have seen in a long time.

Can the Cowboys go from a dumpster fire defense to a great defense in one year?
That's asking a lot.
I am just going to enjoy the ride and see where it ends.
