You don't think D matters when vying for a super bowl? No chit?

there is plenty of truth in everything you are saying. But this isn’t the right approach. Give the guy credit for admitting fault. Even if you don’t like the way he’s going about it. At least he’s willing to come to the right conclusion. Many people aren’t as willing. I give him credit for this thread.

I think the reason he’s catching a lot of grief is because people expect him to use the gotcha if we don’t win the super bowl. The gotcha being that our defense and everything else is super bowl quality and if we don’t win it’s because of Dak. If you aren’t somewhat concerned about our defense I don’t know what to say. I’m rolling with them and think we can win with them but the teams in the playoffs will all have good offenses similar to ours. I don’t know how he actually feels..

Dak will not be the reason we don't win a Super Bowl (I'm betting we do). Same with Romo. Both were/are plenty strong enough to do it with the proper surrounding pieces.

Is he? All I'm reading are bull**** qualifiers where he somehow tries to paint himself to being right.

That's the opposite of what you're saying.

If he simply came out and said 'I was wrong' - with no added nonsense or qualifiers - that would be fine. That's not what's happening here.

yeah, I thought that was the case. I only read the original post at first. I think you are right. My bad. That’s how it is for most people. Can’t man up and admit when they’re wrong.

@CATCH17 Bro, I will give you credit. Coming from me, that says a lot. Glad you see things much clearer this season concerning Dak. This is because Dak has not reached his peak yet. He's only going to get better. Let's hope he stays healthy, because the Cowboys need him. So, kudos to you for finally giving Dak credit.

Now, if you suddenly start going back to constantly bashing Dak for no justifiable reason, the hammer is going to come down. :D

Salud! :flagwave:

A team that is both good on offense and defense would be favored over Dallas. If the turnovers continue, I think we can possibly get to and win a SB, but without a multitude of turnovers, no I don’t think our defense can stand up to another team with a good offense and a good defense.

:hammer:

Despite the record, we are still not a complete team. The defense continues to keep opponents in the game. If that doesn't change, we are capable of losing to any team we face.

There’s the rub. Several teams can stack up against us on offense. The Arizona’s, Tampa’s, New Orleans, and buffalos give up about a touchdown less than us even with the turnovers. Is it scheduling that makes up that difference? We will see. I expect our defense to continue to get better. Don’t know about those other teams. Should be fun.

I love dak and I think he's better than Stafford but you put dak on the lions it would be ugly for him as well.
I don’t disagree. Give Dak megatron and I guarantee a lot more wins than stafford produced. Dak has the it factor that so far stafford has shown he doesn’t. And it goes back to Mississippi state. Watch the LSU game. That’s what separates Dak from Romo and from a lot of other QBs

Dak can lead us to a superbowl however let's calm down a bit. With the amount of talent on offense there's a handful of other quarterbacks who could do the same if not play better(turnover wise)

But yes he's easily in the top percentile of quarterbacks

I think Dak is playing great. As good as anyone.

I also think if Aaron Rodgers inherited our current defense then they are a better team.

Dallas has the horses and acting like they don’t is an excuse for those who don’t really think the guy throwing the football is good enough.

No other NFC teams expectations change with our defense for the worse and a lot of them would be improved. They sure as heck don’t change with our offensive supporting cast either for other teams.

Oh and McCarthy has won a Super Bowl with Rodgers. It’s really not an excuse if you believe in Dak. No other team would completely change their Super Bowl expectations with McCarthy.
We don’t have those other quarterbacks, we have Dak. And that’s either going to be good enough or not.

Nearly everything that could possibly go right for Dallas has gone right.

Like everything.

Even when a guy gets injured the guy behind them plays incredible.
That tends to happen with well coached teams.

I know the vocal minority/majority (not sure which) believes McCarthy is an idiot, but based on the results with the personnel issues have had, they seem to be missing the big picture.

Not sure how that relates to "Dallas is being held back by Dak" narrative you tried to start here, but OK.
