If we could add a stud at one position for the playoff push…

Just curious but what's with the "um"? Is that for dramatic effect or something? My daughter talks like that but she's only 14.
That is my nice way of saying, "Dude, you just said something stupid that any fan, even a casual one, should know isn't true." So, yes; dramatic effect.

Fletcher Cox is a very unpopular player amongst the Eagles fan base right now with his declining production not matching his salary and his recent comment about not getting paid to defend screen passes.

I'd still trade for him because its always bothered me that their Cox is bigger.
Yeah I think there’s some value in his experience that we need on Dline. Plus he’d bring an attitude that could help us come later in the year.

he actually also called out their Dcoord and his play calling, coupled with the fans situation, I’m hoping we can move him here

The salary would never allow it.

A good, pass rushing DT who's also solid against the run. A good #2 CB would be second on my list.

Questions:

1. Are the Jets needing a quality #2 WR?
2. Are they looking to move QW?
3. Do the Cowboys have other (realistic) trade bait the Jets may be interested in?

I’d take them, too but Rams won’t release since they are looking to make their own playoff run.

I would target Cam Heyward from the Steelers.

and how do we handle his contract? 22 mill next season and another 22 mill the following season.

I'm not trading a 1st or 2nd for an older mercenary dude with an expensive contract.

We saw how well Jamal Adams did for the Seahawks... Carroll and Schneider over in SEA thought he was their missing piece to win a SB... instead now they're suffering from a lost season with Russell Wilson on the shelf and they won't get a draft pick to compensate for a bottom dwelling season. And Adams has been mediocre at best and he's lousy in coverage.

Cowboys have the best drafting team in the league and we have Joseph who will soon be a quality QB2 and we can tag Gallup and keep pretty much everyone else we want to with restructures. It's all good.
I don't disagree in general but the idea is whether we should go for it THIS year. Yeah, I wouldn't want to give up a first but I start to consider a second (obviously depending on who it is).

Nothing is guaranteed but you don't get in this position every year and (if you're the Dallas Cowboys) you don't even get to the NCF title game in over 25 years, never mind the SB.

DT go get fletcher cox
I’ve use Cox before as an example of a horrible cap construction contract by Philly. But it’s because of the restructures. If trad3d his contract is great. A prorated $1M this year and basically $17M next year but none guaranteed and all dead money sticks with the Eagles. Now of course that is also the reason they won’t trade him unless someone gives up a significant pick.

I'm with everyone saying DT......in fantasyland, I would like to have A. Donald or V. Vea......realistically, not sure who we could acquire that would put us over the edge in our defense.

What would you add? And I’ll switch it up for QB and say you can add an experienced, good back up.

I’m thinking the one place I would add a stud is the interior line. Not that we don’t have good players there but I still would like someone there to really shore up the run defense.
a stud saftey.......IMHO we are getting enough pressure, QB hits (not sacks, but the pressure is leading to bad throws and interceptions). we are stopping the run....but pass defense lags/lacks....we need a really good saftey with good range.
