Still the same old…almost got there…gang.
Except Gregory is making some plays, but he can’t do it on his own.

Once DLaw, and maybe if Hill and Gallimore and get pressure up the middle when they get back. Things will change in the sack category. That will be needed for the playoffs.
Basham is just a depth guy and Golston is kind of a young version of Crawford. Durde has done pretty well squeezing juice, but we need Lawrence back right now. I do wish they could rush Parsons and Gregory together more

The teams ranked 1-6 in most sacks have a total record of 26-21

Rams
Vikings
Browns
Panthers
Bears
Bengals

Meanwhile, teams with 10 or more INT's are a combined 33-12

Bills
Saints
Cowboys
Rams
Patriots
Bucs

Which group would you prefer to be in if you could be in one group?

have you even bothered to educate yourself about the DLs on Rams, Bucs, Bills, and Pats?

the sheer agenda driven stupidity of some Cowboys fans is truly astounding

i am concerned about the defensive ends also. gregory is the only one producing right now. hopefully lawerence will get back soon.

Everything should be fine in 2-3 weeks when DLaw returns to add some balance to the pass rush. Basham was signed to be a 10-15 snap backup and Golston was drafted as a run stopping DE. Those guys will be better when they can fall back into the roles expected of them...

Once again the stale pass rusher is a thorn on the side of this team with only Gregory producing a solo sack. Basham and Golston selfish plays and mistakes almost cost this team a win. Why is Quinn not rotating the DEs like he did early on in the season?

Cowboys ranks 28th in sacks and yet to produce even one against a winning team.

I have always said that sacks are extremely over rated. A guy could get 16 sacks, one per game, and probably lead the league in sacks and have very little impact on the team. A sack is one play, sometimes a minimal loss that really doesn’t even change the possession unless on 3rd down.

Give me tackles, tackles for loss, QB pressures and hits. Gregory and Basham were in the Vikings backfield all game, pressuring Cousins. That changes the game more than an occasional sack.

They rank 28 for the entire season and have ZERO vs teams with winning record.

We won this game, right?

Our defense played lights out against Minnesota. As a team, other than that first drive, the Vikings couldn't sustain anything. The Vikings were harassed, pressured and then forced off the field. Our defense put on one of the best collective 3rd down performances I've seen in a very, very long time.

If the defense can do what they did against Minnesota, we are going to win important games, deep into the post season. Sacks and turnovers are awesome...some of my favorite plays. But, they pale in comparison to getting off the field on virtually every third down.

It's not just about the sacks. Pressures matter.

Cousins was harrassed the entire 2nd half. They only got one sack, but Cousins was often off his spot when he got rid of the ball.

Pressures can be just as effective as sacks because QB's are more likely to make mistakes when there is traffic all around you

Hilarious.

Did you see Mahomes in the Super Bowl last year without his starting tackles? What about Tom Brady yesterday?

As usual, you don't know what you are talking about

People are ignoring games and context and just want to be satisfied if the number looks good.

If you want our pass rush to be better the only way is get Lawrence back or move Parsons to the edge but QBs aren’t sitting back and scanning the field all day either lol.

Remember when Anae committed a penalty that extended a Vikings drive?

BREAKING NEWS: The problem for years has been the COWBOYS players get close to the QB and miss, or they're coming on a blitz and get fall over each other!!!!

Stat nerds love their stats.

Teams aren’t holding onto the ball against Dallas. It’s coming out quick.

Cousins had 185 yards passing. You can’t hit these guys if the ball comes out that quick.
Plus the Cowboys defense hasn't been on the field that much in comparison to the rest of the league. Defensive snaps per game they are among the lowest in the league. Give the Cowboys an extra 60-70 snaps on the year and they probably move up those rankings a couple spots.

Really bad example. Every one of the guys in the booth thought the call was crap. Perfectly legit hit. I thought the defense played like a bunch of crazed dogs, & I'm excited about the future.

They are ranked 28th in sacks right?
We put pressure on. When we need to. You don’t have to rush the quarterback every single play. You pause your wait to make sure it’s not a run first. I hope that it helps you understand the game a little bit betterment

So were they able to put pressure on Brady when he had the game winning drive?
