Are we so much better than 2014, 2016, 2007?

It depends on how and what happens....Again if you think there is no diference between those coaching staffs and this one thats fine....Its not hard to take the odds and say "they will probably lose in the playoffs" as there will only be one winner and those are good odds. But I think right now this staff puts this team above those other teams.
I haven’t made the argument of comparing coaching staffs.

My argument is in the end we only measure by the results. The rest is mere speculative rhetoric. And why I choose to wait to make a final analysis.

Im not sure why similar results will be more satisfying with this coaching staff. If anything would be more demoralizing since it’s more experienced and proven.

BTW lets be very clear

this year will be no different than any other playoff year in the Parcells, Phillips, or Garett era IF we dont make it past the second round

we've been there a few times so only way this is more successful then those years is an NFCCG appearance.

NFCCG or bust or this is just part of the other failures we have already experienced..stats dont matter results do

6-1 isnt complete result ..TBD INCOMPLETE

so we arent so much better until proven otherwise..

a loss in the 2nd round wont cut it...

That isn’t strictly a Dallas Cowboys thing.

But this is the fan base that if you say Tony Pollard is good they’ll tell you about Troy Hambrick or something bizarre.
And why I said the context is important.

This team is stacked. The best RB group, the best WR group, solid O line and overall, this defense makes plays.

Depends on what context you want to use.

In this thread we are comparing the expectations and potential results . I think some fans only want to use this season and not where we stood going into playoffs . Twice as #1 seeds we definitely were considered contenders.

And going down to last possession in all of those divisional playoff games with an opportunity to advance to championship game is certainly a comparison that could be made to the expectations and potential results .
stop talking rationally. How were we possibly considered contenders as the number 1 seed? Everyone knows it was smoke and mirrors and we had no chance.....lol

sucked lol we had the rushing leader and dak and new shiny toy in cooper.,.that not sucking somehow the word suck doesn't apply to 2nd round playoff loss by 8 points on the road to the eventual sb representative for the NFC..

sorry man we didn't suck it was an illusion because we were horrible the first 8 games got Coop and went on fire..last 8 games and the playoff are all that counts and 2018 was close to the best Garett year he had..the last 8 were like the first 7 this year and btw we al know its how you finish not how you stat and somehow gloating over 6-1 in 17 game season as if we already made it..

well step back..reality's is we messed up 2019 late back half and we could mess this up..

do better research part 1 2018 bad, part 2 great...

Actually my tools can do that split. The 2018 team has a OSRS of about 1 and a DSRS of about 3 in its last 8 games. Still not comparable to the other teams. That said, the DSRS was about 3 through all 16 games. It's the O that jumps from -6 to 1 in the second half of the season. So, adding Coop meant about 7 more points a game in 2018.

So I stick by my original statement. Using OSRS as a ranking, this is the best DAL offense in 20 years, and it might be the best post 1995. I just don't have data that goes back much further than 1999.
