Parsons will be trouble for offenses as a pass rusher, trust that. OSA is the second best pass rusher on this team now that Tank and Gregory are gone. Use those two in maximum capacity to get after the QB.

If he’s a dominant edge rusher his play making ability is not limited at all.

DE’s get paid more than LBers for a reason.

Parsons is a linebacker. What made him the 12th overall pick was his sideline to sideline playmaking ability. He’s playing out of position on the edge. He can be effective doing it but he’s not dominant. He can’t make the number of plays at that position that he can at linebacker. He’s not a natural DE. He’s not Randy Gregory.

Left tackles are a lot bigger and stronger than they were when LT played. To say nothing of more refined technique wise. At least the good ones. Atlanta has a descendant of the Matthews clan for their LT. As such you KNOW his technique is going to be rock solid. I think lining Parsons up across from him will be a waste. Stack Parsons outside (or inside) shoulder of one of the other DEs and now you're talkin.

The modern OTs are no bigger than 90's Cowboys OTs.

90's Cowboys Great Wall have more total size and weight than most OL today.

In a word no.. First of all LT only caught the tail beginning of the trend toward bigger offensive linemen. His career was winding down by the time everybody started letting 300+pounders man the o-line. I should also point out that the 90's Cowboys o-line pretty much helped him decide to retire. He was on the losing end 5 of the last 6 times he faced them and the last 4 in a row. He had 3 sacks in those last 6 games against them.. When LT came into the league the Cowboys starting tackles were Pat Donovan 6'5" 253 and Jim Cooper 6'5" 262. When he left it was Mark Tuinei 6'5" 305 and Erik Williams 6'6" 325 .. LT went from being almost the same size as the guys he was facing and MUCH quicker at 6'3" 240 to giving up 60-80 pounds within a decade. When those guys were even remotely close to him in athletic ability, he knew it was time to hang 'em up. Now I know you cannot take program listed weights as gospel as some guys lose weight during the season and some guys gain.. just depends on their bodies.. But it's pretty clear that the bigger offensive linemen that really started with "The Hogs" gave LT problems. Ironically I don't think any of the original Hogs weighed over 300.. but I'd have to look it up.

Parsons and a bunch of guys with no talent, that is the cold hard truth.

Basham, Armstrong, Anae, Kamara are all JAGs.

It’s been so long I forgot

LOL.. people mad about his paycheck aint forgot. Horrible luck for the guy.. and for our team.. cause we could REALLY use him right about now. This is now week 7 since they did surgery on it. Next week will be 8.. which would be about the same number of weeks he missed when he broke a bone in the same foot his rookie season. May have even been the same damn bone.. So much for them healing stronger after a break..

Exactly bro.
This ain't rocket science.

What jumps off his film thats generational is his:
get off
short area burst and
sense of urgency to the QB

So whatever needs to be done in order to maximize these traits should be done.

As mentioned, it's what Hoodie did with LT and he turned out pretty good, lol.

Yep,
Effective pass rush depth is not a strong suit for sure. Just like the lack of good offensive tackle backups.

It's pretty much a league wide issue nowadays although the Cowboys problems with actually sacking the QB have been a prob for quite some time.
