We need to pay/extend Gallup, not let him walk

He performs. He's the best tough-catch guy on the team, makes clutch 3rd and 4th down catches, catches everything near the sideline, and is the closest thing we have to prime Dez on the team. The other two guys are great route runners and great after the catch but Gallup is that X receiver that makes our passing game unstoppable.

He needs to be first priority, tied with Gregory. Second priorities are Kearse and Schultz, then everyone else can walk or sign cheaper deals.

I love Amari…he’s tough and plays the game the right way. But he’s gone. No way we pay him 22 million to be our #2 guy. I think we re-sign Gallup,

I could see that. I could see us swapping Coop to get a 1. I like Coop, but maybe it'd get us 2 1sts, one to get oline, and the other to get another WR.

Cooper and his contract won't get us two firsts. Cooper without a contract might. But Cooper with that contract would be lucky to get one first. Might need to accept an even lesser offer, like a second, in order for the other team to absorb the contract.

But then again, my preference would be to keep all 3 and not nerf the biggest strength on the team in the name of salary cap. We have plenty of room to extend guys, including Cooper and Lawrence, and still keep Gallup and Gregory, Kearse and several other guys.

I'd like to keep all if possible. I hope they can make it work.

You do realize his contract was basically a two year deal right. They aren't going to cut him, they will renegotiate his deal to give him more guaranteed and lower his cap hit

We did go 6-1 without Gallup

He just feels like a guy we gotta keep. Toe tap catches and everything. Maybe Tyron retired and they save some money.

Love to have him back, but not if it cost us Coop or Gregory.

He got hit on the 1 & 3 and dropped it . Would have been 1st down. I like him a lot but # 1 wasn’t a bad option last 6 weeks. It might make more sense from the cap keep Wilson .

It’s a nice problem for Dallas to have a wealth of talent at wide out .

I can’t figure out comp pick compensation but I would think Dallas should get a quality pick if you lose him not a 5 or 6 but a 3 or a 4

Can I point out that when Gallop was out Wilson did everything you said Gallop does. Look at the tape….we need all 3 if we want to win the Super Bowl this year but his replacement is already on the team. Wilson is no joke….

*Ahem...clears throat*

That's what I've been saying all season long. It would be a HUGE mistake to let our very own drafted and developed stud WR Michael Gallup to leave to another team. HUGE mistake.

I would explain why I feel this way, but feelings will get hurt, so I'll stay quiet.

You beat me to it. Don't get me wrong, I love having Gallup on the team and would love to retain him, however, it's not like Wilson was some slouch. He played a great role on this team.

I want Gallup but I can tell you the guy is going to get a big contract.

He starts on half the teams in the league.

Unless he's got a serious love for Dallas and takes a discount I don't see him here next year.

Let's wait til the off season for this crap....one of these guys may pop an ACL and then what.....talk about the win and wait on your GM skills
