Parsons has changed our defense. I dont care how good Slater is or turns out to be. Parsons was the correct pick
I dont care about Slater either and for this draft, Parsons was 110% the right pick. My argument was and the correct answer is, if you have a game changing defensive player and an equally talent LT, you take the LT.

I dont know who "you guys" is, I love the Parsons pick and it wasn't a question of Slater over Parsons, it was a question of an equally talented LT over what Parsons is now. You pick the LT every time.

I personally feel like the Parsons pick was the right one. I'll never bash the pick but if you have the option of supremely talents people and one plays defense and the other plays LT, you take the LT.
If we pick an LT and don't have Parsons right now our record is probably close to .500 with Dak and the offense scoring more points and yards than they have through the air, Dak, Ceedee, and Amari would probably have more yards, but the Cowboys would probably have the 31st ranked defense and be in very high scoring shootouts like we saw early last year. You win some of those, and lose some too. 50/50 games. Whoever gets the ball last with enough time, wins.

Parsons literally changed the defense from being the scum at the bottom of the NFL to at least mid tier and potentially better when we get our starting edge defenders back.

I dont have an argument there, Parsons is a complete game changer, love him. And were lucky to have Tyron 40% of the year for now but once he's hangs it up, Dak's in real trouble.

Respectfully disagree. A talented LT doesn’t change what the offense does or doesn’t do. See Joe Thomas. A team does not game plan for a LT. QB’s will soon be pointing to Micah and saying block this guy…

That he is. As close to true alpha on defense that we have seen in a very very long time.

If all he cares about is football and his puppy, I am all good with him.

This is true. Kid plays with a level of violence that you haven't seen in Dallas in a long time. Ware was finesse and smoothness but this guy plays like a man possessed. Those rushes from the edge to the QB are fast.

Terence Steele played well yesterday. His first outing at LT was rough, but he picked it up quite well. He seems to be a sharp, smart, quick learner.

Slater isnt EQUAL to Parsons though. He isnt generational. Parsons looks to be.

Why are you still here? Our team is the team that lost to the broncos. Not the team thats won 7 games. Go cheer on the Lions.

I dont know how bad your reading comprehension is, seems pretty low but I AM NOT SAYING SALTER OVER PARSONS.
No I know you arent. And my reading comprehension is fine. I am saying that there wasnt an LT in that draft equal to Parsons. Thats all. If there is a Tyron Smith in the equation. Now its a harder choice lol

My only problem right now is the evil Scum Packers are 8-2 while my Cowboys are 7-2. ****ing UGH. Can't the scum packers just lose one more? Then I'll be happy...

There hasn't been a Tyron Smith level tackle in the equation since 2013... Bakhtiari/Lane Johnson.

Slater and Sewell are in the second tier.

Dont say MY COWBOYS. You dont believe in this team. You have no right to cheer for them after that garbage you posted last week about how we sucked. Get lost.

Well last week, they sucked. It was 30-0 and Dak, who shouldn't have even been in the game at that point, converted a fourth and very long... otherwise it would have been a shutout. I believe to Turner, maybe it was someone else. The cowboys didn't just suck, they were embarrassingly ghastly, on Sunday the 7th.

But didnt you say "This is who they are" and yesterday you actually doubled down and said "today is an exception not the rule". Dont make me pull it up and show it.

I don't want to get too overconfident and optimistic. I remember how that worked out in 2016. I already had made Super Bowl plans that year after we were 11-1 or whatever with a 4 game lead in the conference. This year we're not even first place. Losing to the most evil franchise in sports history for the 2nd time in 3 years, this time traumatically at home to the organization I hate worse than ISIS, was a traumatizing experience for me at the tender age of 22 years and 10 months.

You've got to understand from my perspective. I was 22 and only a little over a semester removed from graduating from UNT in Denton, Tx. I was living in The Colony, TX. Not in Michigan or even Ohio yet. I had spent that previous summer and fall at a miserable entry level paying IT job at Bank of America in Plano but it wasn't work from home, it was go to the office every day. I got laid off on January 11th, 2017 because I wasn't "doing enough work". So I was just out of a job. I had just bought my first mortgage and house and just moved out of a rental shared rooming house. That whole fall had been a crescendo of surprisingly positive Cowboys football and a romance that escalated in 2016 and then began to ruin after the Cowboys got beat by that 3rd & 20. It was never the same after that. That 3rd & 20 permanently ruined my only serious romance/marriage to date, ruined my desire to stay in Texas, and ruined my career for 15 months. It seriously put me into a state of depression.

For that reason and many others I will always hate the Green Bay ***** Packers more than any other organization in the universe, domestic, foreign or in outer space. It's a deep, deep, dark hatred.

I appreciate everything you just said and I am sorry that all happened. But it doesnt excuse the fact you doubled down after yesterday and basically said the Cowboys are bad and just got lucky.

Yeah it kind of does. I used to post on the old DC forum as Millennial_messiah in 2016 and everyone was talking championship and we can't be stopped can't stop the Dak and Zeke show etc. I clung on to that for dear life. I broke so much glass and wine bottles after the erin Fraudgers (Hate that smugface forever with a passion) 3rd & 20 and mason crossbar... ugh I don't even want to think about it... it cost me $3000 in damage out of pocket on a crappy house that already had major foundation problems, that the realtor's inspection company screwed me over on, and was the first domino in losing me my wife and now I'm still in the process of a messy divorce that my lawyer said the deadline for closure isn't until mid September, 2022.
