Aikman's teams were Defensive teams.
I don't agree. They had some good defenses but those teams were led by a dominating, ball control offense.

O's don't win super bowls. The passing yardage leader has never won a super bowl.Absolutely
Loaded on D.
Just saying, if you combine the Oline, RB group, Reciever group.....Dak has had the table set on that side of the ball like almost no other Cowboy QB.
And its been that way almost his whole career.
It's one reason why it's hard to accurately compare.
Some had top tier consistent line play for many years, some had better defenses, some had NEITHER for several years of their career
I'm thrilled with his developement.
It's all we could hope for.
Dallas now has a real shot at it...imo

And a dominating D. The first super bowl vs the Bills was advertised as the Bills top ranked O vs the Cowboys top ranked D. And it was the D that turned that game around.I don't agree. They had some good defenses but those teams were led by a dominating, ball control offense.
Actually because he has missed a game Dak doesn't really have a chance to be the season yardage leader so the curse is safe for one more year.Let's hope Dak can erase that one like Emmitt erased the leading rusher "curse."
Morton was also not a bad QBYeah even as an expansion team they had Eddie Lebaron who while no hall of famer, was a pretty good QB to help launch a franchise. That little guy running around was perfect for a team that had no offensive to speak of. LOL!!

Not sure what you mean by the remembering thing.I completely disagree with that. Those teams were known a lot more for their offense. Those offenses had a Hall of Fame QB, RB and WR and arguably the greatest OL in NFL history. The defenses were real good but what everyone remembers about those teams are the triplets and The Great Wall of Dallas.
I believe he can, but when we get a D. I like what we're doing now, players such as Osa, Diggs, and Parsons are the type of players who are key to super bowl runs.Let's hope Dak can erase that one like Emmitt erased the leading rusher "curse."
Yeah I've got him about even with Tony but that's basically ceremonial at this point. By the end of the season I fully expect him to be >Tony Romo.
And I'm legit the biggest Romo fanboy that ever lived, but Romo's best seasons were 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2014. Dak has already put together nearly that same resume (2016, 2018 and working on 2021) in less time. This season his passing is as good as Romo's was in most if his great years.
Not sure what you mean by the remembering thing.
Dall D was #1 for the first super bowl. They were stacked even more than the O.
Fair assessment. I happen to agree wholeheartedly. No slight on Romo but Dak seems incredibly calm under pressure.Game on the line I feel more comfortable with Dak than I ever did Romo. Romo was awesome, but I don't think he's as even keel as Dak.
yeah bit early, but right now I would rank him below romo, and above white.
And don meredith should be #3 below aikman
as of yet dak has not got past div round, same as romo, so really white got to champ games I think? So maybe white is above romo at #4
hard to compare guys from different eras based on anything but what they get to and win.
Roger Staubach
Troy Aikman
Don Meredith
Danny White
Tony Romo
Dak ....has to get past div round and to champ game to pass romo
Too early still... I think the guy has a chance to be #1, but without a super bowl he will be viewed similarly to Romo instead of the Aikman/Staubach tier.
