He isnt exactly vital to the teams success at the moment.

This guy is headed for Trysten Hill ville at a rapid rate.

But hey....when you just HAVE to have a corner.....
so what exactly has he done? He got hurt.....ok.
What next? He may have had a death in the family, ....uhm, ok.

I hear ya....I just hated the pick. Making it worse is the guy I wanted in the first round was still on the board (Ojulari) and is tearing is up for the Giants.

I also don't like zeroing in on a position, which very much seemed to happen after not landing Horn or Surtain.

Meanwhile the guy 99% of the board wanted, Tre'von Moehrig has only allowed 21 yards all season.

Dang Raiders for taking him

Did he want the game off also or did McCarthy bench him because he missed a practice? That was I was thinking was the reason he won't be playing Sunday

Funny stuff how many are saying another mans money is no ones business, but then it’s quite alright to say Oh Zeke makes too much money, Oh we overpaid for Dak, Oh Lawrence needs to have his salary cut. Thx for the smiles…

maybe he slept with big mikes wife or daughter and that is the reason?
Maybe he stole money from big mikes grandma?
or just MAYBE he has a real life family situation that takes priority over football? who freaking knows.

But hey....when you just HAVE to have a corner.....

If we just had to have a corner, we should have drafted Asante Samuel Jr, considering he was the better prospect and had NFL heritage, vs Joseph, who has little experience at the position.

If Joseph busts, drafting athletic potential over a player who was already an accomplished CB is going to look incredibly stupid.

Based on SJ comments after the second day....trying to deal up for Campbell....and that it wouldn't have mattered if Moehrig lasted one more pick....tells me they were focused on that position.

It's my opinion that better players were left on the board because they wanted a corner there, and Joesph has to play pretty well to make me not feel that way.

There were character questions about his desire to play football from the word go....and I can't say I'm impressed thus far.

If he is missing the game due to a death in the family, which doesn't often happen in the league although I'm sure it's happened to plenty of players, then just say so. Especially in this case.

The reality is that he just isn't all that important to the team, so whatever.

The doesn't do much for me not liking the pick, and Ive been around long enough to see where this is all headed......and the team deserves it for handling pick 44 the way they did.

For those in the know does Kelvin get a game check for an excused absence, or does he not get paid for the game he misses.if he does not get paid do the Cowboys get some relief on the salary cap?
Just wondering.
No, it won't effect the cap, but if the cap was hinging on whether or not Joseph gets paid for this game.. Cowboys would have to make some major salary cuts.

After not getting a corner in the first....as it seemed like they wanted to do despite claiming Parsons was the best defensive player in the draft.

Parsons ended up being worth throwing that pick away for if they had to, so I suppose I could look at it that way.

Probably comes down to you giving the benefit of the doubt more easily than I, but color me a lot less than impressed with Joseph and his effort and desire thus far....especially when that was in question all along.

Personally I think the staff was in no rush to activate him because they didn't see anything particularly special, but that's just a guess.

Either way it's a damn good thing Brown and Lewis are still here and healthy.

Diggs aside, the second round horror show doesn't appear to be in much jeopardy.

Well I don't care whether or not Jospeh gets paid or not for missing a game or multiple games.

Nor do I care what Zeke, Dak, Lawerence, Smith, Martin or anyone else gets paid.

Now occasionally I may have an opinion on a certain player not bringing enough to the table vs what they are taking up in cap space.

But as far as the money they receive? They could all be making $100 million a year if the NFL could afford to pay everyone that much, and I couldn't care less. Good for them and I hope they make wise investments.

So complaining how much someone makes when it comes to the Salary Cap does not equate to complaining about a player receiving a check because he has an excused absence.

I think that should be obvious, but I guess not.

I dont know about all that.
Well, meaning I can very much see us 2-3 years from now still hoping to get something at all out of him.

If some of ya'll want to give him the benefit of the doubt, when his desire to play has been in question from jump street....that's your choice.

I really, really would love to be wrong. Hope I am.

I mean, I never wanted him. I was always a Stokes guy myself even though most on here liked Joseph better as a second round choice. I'll give him a chance though
