As a young fan, I'm frustrated

In December once we get everyone back this team will be a force. that D played well today and look who we are missing. This team is not done yet.
Missing both DE's. LT. New starters. WR's dropping like flies. So many missed opportunities when Dak hit the backups in the numbers. Team game. Even when Dak is off a bit, and he was yesterday, got to make those catches to help his confidence. Dak is not perfect, so those drops and several bad routes did not help. I am more pissed about the prep and the WR's.

I know we were without a lot of key pieces today. I know that it's just one loss and that this was game prior to the season I thought we'd lose. I know we're 7-3. That said, I'm frustrated. I'm always going to be a Cowboys fan, but I don't know success like a lot of you. The best I had seen this team do is make the divisional round before conking out, and this season seems to be starting to trend that way as well. This loss hurt more than usual, despite expecting a loss. It hurt because we had the 1 seed for the taking. I thought after the Atlanta match, we'd showed that we were a different team to what I'd been accustomed to. This season finally was looking like it might be the payoff for all the years of losing I'm accustomed to. There's still plenty of time, and a win against the Raiders and/or the Saints would be huge to helping us get where we want to be. It just hurt today more than usual.
Bournemouth losing to last place Derby County yesterday even worse:)

Take a breath young fur. The Cowboys are a very good team. The Chiefs at Arrowhead were the better team yesterday. Arrowhead is a different place. I posted this yesterday. It is electric. The energy level is something every football fan should experience. Am I disappointed? Yes. Do I still believe we can compete and make it to the Super Bowl? Yes. We have a young lion on defense. We have some aggressive good young players. Dak is still working back from an injury. Long road ahead. Lots of opportunities. I am not going to loose my mind over a loss at Arrowhead despite the 2k I spent to go back and watch that crap show.

: )

I appreciate that. It helps a lot. And I'm really pumped now cuz of what I got coming in this week.

What is 40? "medium aged fan"? :D

I'm also frustrated, but at least I was old enough (and on time to become a Cowboys fan) to witness the great 90s. Good memories.

But with the talent pool we have, it's absolutely astonishing that the output wasn't any better. I don't like Garret at all, but in the end it's the FO making one bad decision after another. Since 1997. Or maybe even before that. I think getting Deion in the end hurt us more in the long run than what we got out of him immediately.

at this time, it feels like running on a hamster wheel. When we're rubbish, we're rubbish. When we're doing well, I start thinking we might actually do something, but then the collapse happens without fail and I"m left wondering when we will win one. The best QBs I know are Romo and Dak. Been a supporter since 1999 or 2000. I just want one championship to be able to finally see what it's like.

Lucky for you, you only have to wait a few more months. That was a SB preview, and they got us round one, but it'll be a different story when we're not missing our entire starting defensive line, LT, and top two WR's. I doubt we'll be 100% when we get to the SB, but I guarantee we'll be healthier than we were yesterday. We'll avenge two of our losses on the way to number six in the playoffs, and take down the two best QB's in the league in doing so.

I hope you're right. We need our injured players back asap. When is Gallimore supposed to be ready to play?

I grew up watching the Staubach led, Landry coached Cowboys. We were always in the playoffs back then and a loss would ruin me until our next win. Then came our early 90s Aikman led, JJ coached Cowboys. You just knew they were going to win.

Since Jimmy left, and l've gotten older, l don't take it so serious. Still love to see the Cowboys win but it doesn't ruin my week if they do. The NFL has changed so much it's just not the same for me anymore. The players are now loyal to their $$, not the team or fans. It was different years ago. I miss those days and Texas Stadium.

I hate to say it, but you younger fans will never get to experience the "football loving players" of the past. It's now a "me" league. Still fun to watch, but it's all theater now...

Cut him some slack man he been constantly shutting down that left side since he was 20 years old injuries do pile up wear and tear

This is the constant type of post I see against people saying tyron is in need of being replaced...you have to separate liking him as the player he has been and the fact that he is not dependable.

He has not played a full season since 2015 and is not reliable - he needs to be replaced.

This does not mean he isn't liked, or we forgot how incredible he has played in the past, but the time to move on to a younger more dependable player is now...no more waiting, no more hoping he gets back to health, it's been the same story for 6 years and his body is breaking down.

Saying it's time to replace him isn't picking on him or being a bad fan, it's understanding that he is not the same player he was in terms of reliability and it's hurting the team.

That's the sad fact of the matter and it hurts some of us, as true-blue fans, to admit as much. Tyron has gone the way of the Tyrannosaurus Rex but Jerry and Stephen like to believe he's indestructible -- and it's just a fantasy. I'm hoping we'll find a new monster OT in the next draft or let Josh Ball develop and perhaps, play capably. This version of the Cowboys' OL is but a distant memory of what it once was so long ago! Ouch -- it hurts, just to admit it. o_O

Yeah it sucks bc he's played at a hof level and has been such a blue collar player - he's always been a fan favorite and always will be...

But like all good things, time catches up

Fur, yes we wasted a good defensive performance for sure...But the facts are still looking good. We are getting alot of players back very soon...No one would put our offense at #1 if we do not have Coop and Lamb, Smith..thats alot to be missing. Those players will be back and this team just played KC in KC without 7 starters and did not get blown out...no lose is good but this one certainly does not point to this team going down..

You're right, it's become more theatrical than ever and Jerry even acknowledges as much, in his distasteful speeches. It's sickening to those who enjoyed the days of players who actually played with pride in the joys of winning. Those were the days, my friend. Hopefully, more players will find their way to us who know the meaning of pride in winning, once again. Until then, we just content ourselves with being "entertained," but not thrilled. Thanks, Jerry. o_O

Yes, and, now that some of the feeling from last night have subsided, I think it was rather deflating for them to lose Coop on Friday. That certainly would impact the plan with next to no time to create a new plan. I expect a better showing on Thursday.

The moto of the 3rd ACR was 'forged in fire...came out steel' Keep a perspective and don't give up on a good team that still has a journey it's on.

I think it's premature to be judging the heart of this particular group of players. This fan is still saying that this group of players have game and true hearts. That will win out over all earlier calamities of hurdles in the road...oh, they are still very much in the game.:starspin:

That's true, and I'm curious to see what adjustments are made going into Thursday.
