You hold the chiefs to 19 and that doesn't bode well for the scenario

I'm trying to be optimistic. Dilfer and Flacco were not any better than Dak. Flacco had a Ray Lewis/Ed Reed lead defense. Dilfer had Sapp/Brooks/ Lynch. We have an average defense. No HOFers. Our best player is a rookie. There is much room for improvement.

Here we go again with another bogus reach thread.

Here we go again with another panic/reach thread. Ok, answer this question for me.... name me one franchise quarterback in NFL history that has had success without a supporting cast or pieces around him.

Dak has put up numbers in his first 5 years that only four other qbs in NFL HISTORY have put up. If Dak isn't a franchise qb, why haven't more qbs throughout NFL history put up those record numbers like Dak and four other qbs???

I'll wait...

You can't talk about NFL history b/c the game has changed a lot, and its much much easier to put up big passing numbers now.

Nobody in the NFL has or has had a better supporting cast than Dak Prescott.

Just one SB is all I ask man. Don't care who the QB is, could be Trent Differ for all I care. Just one, just ONE. It's freezing and cold where I am at, and this just makes it worst. Like have we even beaten a single good team? The Bucs literally lost to the Saints who lost to the Eagles. Chargers? With Joe Lombardi as their playcaller?

The Chargers got a lot of suspect calls against them…

He is not elite, I agree but.....

Pat Mahomes didn't look elite in last year's super bowl when he was harassed on every play. It's why we've all been screaming for upgrades to the pass rush.

They lost their left tackle literally that Friday, meaning zero time to actually prepare. This wasn’t guys declared starting that week and had time to prepare for the game. And he lost his other OL starters in the season irrespective and still made it to the SB.

Anyone else feel like dak looked kind of immobile yesterday? Felt like earlier in the year he would’ve been able to escape and roll out of a few of those.
Step up on the pocket and hit pollard for a positive play or two.

Oh and like even the safety valve throws are behind the guys or slow and wobbly. The guy catches it but has to adjust so now his hips aren’t turned upfield. You gotta nail those throws and pick up what you can. You can’t leave your wide receivers as sitting ducks.
Watch what happens if dalton shultz comes up with cracked ribs or something

I actually agree with you Pappy, however, I have to say, the entire team (even the coaching staff) lacks the work ethic and energy Micah brings to the team. It’s rather unfortunate.

Not at all. I'm surprised his stats look as good as they did....when he did complete a pass it was normally to a lapse in coverage. If that's the best the league has to offer then we are right there.

Exactly, and I think, now that the frustration has subsided some, we'd win if we had a couple of our weapons back. We needed Coop here or at least for him to not test positive just as the team was getting ready to get on the bus to the game. That would probably be deflating.

We lost Amari Cooper the Friday before the game. That doesnt matter though. lol. You dont think losing cooper that close to game day affected the game plan?

Exactly, and it probably dashed the plan entirely they had for the game. Two days, including one to travel, makes it hard to adjust. I expect they'll have a plan now for Thursday sans Coop which helps.

A point worth remembering for fans in despair. Dallas is 7-3 & two of the losses are to last year’s Super Bowl teams, both on the road by a combined 12 points. You’re welcome for the perspective & realization!

sorry this is not just a reaction to this game i have said it from a long time ago and i think my reason is correct so please respond to my reason and not just the title.

i believe a franchise qb have to be able to elevate the play of every one around him and dak does not do that at all. he is 100% relyant on every thing around him being perfect and all of the odd stacked in his favor.

here is the newsflash and scary thing. it will not get any better. it will get worse and harder now that dak will eat a huge chunk of cap. dak will have to be the one to do the heavy lifting and he have shown ZERO ability to do that.

that is my point and worry with dak....am i wrong? a franchise qb HAVE to be able to elevate every one around him and dak is the opposite.

Talking about the team...right now is like looking at the X-ray of a broken bone at week three of the mending instead of after full recovery, is foolish. This team isn't yet fully mended...so don't go calling the mending boned athlete that he looks to be unable to toe a line drawn in the sand. Now Dak, he's not even under the X-ray. Don't go to trying to include him in the same X-ray any way...nothing is suddenly gone wrong with him. Don't matter how much crap is thrown up onto a wall...that all washes off the wall. Not Dak.

Then there are NO franchise QBs in the NFL... Russel Wilson, nope, his team is losing... Patrick Mahomes, nope did you see how he was playing a month ago when the guys in front of him were playing poorly, Tom Brady, nope ask him how a 2 game losing streak feels... Aaron Rogers, might be the closest thing there is, but even he struggled when his WR's were missing...

This disappearing act is nothing new. It is at the point where we can count on it happening two games a year.

2019
Vs New England 9-13
Vs Philadelphia 9-17

Both games the defense did their job and either game could have put them in the playoffs.

2020 he missed half the season so it can’t be included one way or the other.

Now we are in a situation where the offense is inept 2 of 3 weeks and nobody is calling Atlanta a real test.

Dak is a good QB. But he put himself in a tight spot playing hardball for a top NFL contract and is now held to that. Dak led them to 3 points with Lamb in the first half and 6 points in the second half missing both receivers. Is it unreasonable to ask for 1 TD with a LT and a WR out? This is not uncommon and that is why the discussion keeps coming up on this board.

Based on OPs definition of a franchise QB there aren’t many in the NFL.
