The Giants only made the right choice if their offense improves.....doubtful. I think he was a scapegoat, someone had to go.

Jason Garrett's talents always seemed more suited to player evaluation, in my opinion. I think he was good at identifying talent, just not as good knowing what to do with it.

My first thought is that he would try college coaching. However, the Princeton Tigers are having a good season, I don't see an opening after this season

Yeah, scapegoat. Him being terrible at his job had nothing to do with it. Fans…

I’ve made the same argument for years that Garrett’s schtick would do well at the college ranks. His approach to football in simplified forms is what young 18-20 year old guys can rally behind. His clean cut style would bode well on the recruitment trail with parents.

I’m not taking a shot at Garrett. I honestly think he can reinvent himself at the college level. I could see him leading a major program.

First I thought the Giants should get credit for firing him so much quicker than we did. Then I thought, how dumb were they to have hired him in the first place ? And we are in the same Division....

Watching the game last night they showed Garrett and Daniel Jones sitting together. Garrett was explaining something to him and it appeared Jones turned away and ignored him. Garrett gave him a strange look and got his attention again. Looked to be some tension going on between them.

Didn’t you predict Jones was going to go off this week? :muttley:

JG rush to get a job with NY big mistake...had he chosen to be with a bad team( Lions,Jets) he would have done better.

I think he’s good.

Dude has more money than anyone could imagine lol

Tony isn't one to cry into his cornflakes. He's got perspective. Some people hated him for it. Remember "if the worst thing that ever happens to me is losing a football game...".

Tony went from UDFA to a top QB in the NFL to the top announcer for the NFL where he should remain for decades.
Pretty good life.
Still, Tony wouldn't be the only one thinking about what might have been if the team had had adequate coaching while he played here. Garrett cost us a game or two every year just with poor clock management.

The Giants Special teams Head Coach is a disaster. Trust me, Garrett is a happy man right now. That ship is sinking fast. The only question is, who is going down with the ship?

Average QB + average RB + Below average OL + WR that are hurt all the time, and a defense that has fallen off bad since last year.
