Last 4 games:
103 of 160 (64.3%)
6TD
4 Turnovers (3INT, 1FL)

Dak hasn't looked as sharp since returning from the calf injury. I know he can do better. Seeing a lot more passes low/behind guys. He's missing guys on passes Dak normally hits.

Hit open receivers, and stop throwing balls in the dirt.

Giving up 36 points and pass interference every other deep ball is not a problem I thought # 4 was in on

I’d really like to know what a lot of your standards are because people are actually accepting of his performance today and using his stats as a shield to defend his trash play.

You understand he is a 40 million dollar player right?

Was he gutsy at the end? Sure.. But he was mediocre and not accurate all game.

He gets paid too much to just sit around and wait for everyone else to make a play.

Also, I feel validated for my opinion about Carr and Dak being basically the same player.

I think he is a great quarterback like Romo was. But what was all this talk about him being clutch? I think the last two games have disproved that homer notion.

My expectations?

Everyone should know by now what he is. Win some division titles every now and then. Maybe win a first round game…with help. That’s his ceiling.

That’s your Dallas Cowboys with him at the helm.

Everyone sees the limitations with Dak , why he is paid so much my guess is that the front office was expecting him to take that step forward. But a guy that needs an all pro level supporting cast to be above average is not worth $40M.

You would be too if your bone was pushed thru your leg a year ago. But I forgot. You’re a tough guy that’s why you post messages here instead of playing professional football lol
You said you was done with him and McCarthy in the game thread :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Your spot on IMO....love DAK but he continue to show he cannot win big games and not an elite player....he tries and has his moments but not the elite QB. IE Arron Rogers and Tom Brady, Drew Brees and others can make average WR look like Super Stars.....DAK just makes them look average....$40mil is a lot of money..for a average QB

He's perfectly fine with good players, but he's not making Miles Austin a #1 WR. I honestly am fine with Dak, competent QBs don't grow on trees. Just build around him.

OTE="DakPresgoat, post: 11436041, member: 39771"]I hear ya.

it’s one of those tough things.

Look at Dak’s OT history though. Dude it’s almost perfect in OT’s in his career. Literally he has like 2 incomplete passes in his entire OT career.

he just didn’t get it done tonight.

The freaking over reactions by some people are just beyond annoying at this point.[/QUOTE]

He doesn't get it done a lot of the time. We just got beat at home for the second time in three weeks by not good teams. I could care less how angry Dak is, just shut up and win.

He was so good until the calf injury and now he just looks like the Dak I was against paying.

He takes forever to get going, doesn’t make plays, horrible accuracy.

The arguments for him are back to what they used to be to. People thinking of anything under the sun to use as a shield for his Dakverage play.

This sucks. All the wind is out of our sails and it’s because he went from a MVP level of play to ho hum.

So, during the Romo years, I got tired of hearing that Romo was the eighth best quarterback and that was good enough. So I actually went back and thought about this question: in each decade or so of NFL play, how many quarterbacks in that era would I really call want to have. It struck me that the answer has been, very consistently, five to seven. So about 6. That's not necessarily the best quarterbacks, statistically or talent-wise, but certainly there was a strong correlation.

So my goal is for any quarterback, including Dak, to either win a Super Bowl or be a regular MVP contender. The metric for that is being a top 3 or 4 quarterback for 5-10 years.

Anything less than that, and you're playing for scraps and/or your team is just happy to be in the playoffs sometimes.

Dak completed 68% of his passes. Three of the incompletions were drops. 375 yards, 2 TDs, zero turnovers don't require "validation" from anyone.

Carr had his best day of the season. You can thank the Cowboys defense for that. Receivers were running wide open all day.

You don't seem to really understand what you're watching. That, or you're so blinded by your search for "validation" that you see what you want to see.
Dak and JJ love ya!

He hasn’t played well lately but we have seen what he can do. He is capable of being elite. It’s the ebbs and flows of a season. Get off the ledge. Dak is a leader and great QB. This was a team loss. He is missing his top 2 targets and I don’t care if Aaron Rodgers is too, Aaron is better than every other QB. Dak is fine, will be fine. We just need to get healthy. Relax.
