The Eagles are 2.5 games back and also lack the tie-breaker as they lost by 20 in head to head.
DAL is 2-0 in the division while Philly is 0-1.

The race at this point is not even close.

Stop being scared of the dark.

but what if dak plays like poop and we lose the next????????????????????????? while the eagles move to 7-6 after beating the giants and jets

PHI @ NYG this weekend

That'll get PHI to -1.5 from DAL

DAL: @NO, @WFT, @NYG, WFT, ARI, @PHI
PHI: @NYG, @NYJ, WFT, NYG, @WFT, DAL

Week 18 may end up being for the division... that would SUCK

LOL, many have their heads in the sand on this.

It’s a divisional race unless something crazy happens and the Giants win on Sunday.

Historically, the Eagles play their best when everyone leaves them for dead. "Put a fork in them" is their rallying call.

The Eagles have a two game winning streak going into the next two games against the morbid Giants and Jets. Then comes their bye week.

After their bye week comes the last four games of their regular season, all against division rivals.

They end the season against the Dallas Cowboys in Philadelphia....a week after the Cowboys have played the Cardinals.

A loss by the Cowboys to the Raiders or Saints, one loss to the Washington Unnamed, a loss to the Cardinals combined with an Eagles run on the Giants twice, Washington twice and the Jets........does any of this seem unrealistic?

The Eagles has been a team that almost always surges late in the season. It is entirely possible that a 10-6 Eagles team hosts a 10-6 Cowboys team in a game #17 to determine the division champion.

We all know the typical outcome of such a game.

The Cowboys must avoid this scenario at all costs by creating their own end of season surge.

Every year it happens they fight hard at the end, we're in trouble

The rematch I expect to be much different. For starters the Egirls run the ball well. We don't stop the run well.

I know, I hate hypotheticals too, but this occurred to me today and I wanted to get the board's thoughts now before the end of the season.

What if the Eagles and Jalen Hurts overtake the Cowboys and win the division? What will the discussion about Dak and Hurts be if that should happen? I am not asking if it will or suggesting it will happen. I am asking how people think the conversation with go if it does happen.

I can imagine the calls to fire McCarthy will be numerous and loud. I also suspect the anti-Dak posts will multiply by a lot. But what about Hurts? He will be the QB of the division champs.

So, you're saying it's Dak vs Hurts and not Dallas vs Philly......that should answer your hypothetical....you've already made up your mind that its Dak's fault....injuries and penalties don't matter...just Dak.....I find this thinking so damn frustrating.....don't you people have a clue what TEAM sports means? Lol

What does hurtz have to do with this. Who cares. If we can’t win the division then we don’t deserve to be in the playoffs. We need to take care of our house first. Get the poop in a group. We have lost to the broncos and raiders. That’s 2 teams we should have beaten easy. That’s our 2 games for the year. We have major injuries. Any other team out there that are missing the 2 best WR and 2 pass rushers. Was missing the LT for a bit.

Neither is a SB caliber QB.

You misunderstood my question. It's not that I think it should be Dak vs Hurts, but I believe many people will make it about Dak vs. Hurts. If you don't think so then that is an answer to the question. Notice I also said there would be calls to fire McCarthy. Look at the board today. We get at least 3 or 4 Dak threads to discuss. If the Cowboys don't win the division and Philly does, do you really believe there will not be conversations about Dak?

The question I am asking is how you feel the general population of fans will react to the Eagles taking over the division and the so far negative assessment of Hurts as a QB and at the same time the negativity that follows Dak after every loss.

Based on your hype, Dak will continue to be paid and criticized, while Jalen will be overhyped and become the next QB to be paid!

The Cowboys' team as a whole will have to improve a bunch or they're not going anywhere. That said, getting 5-6 starters back off IR will go a long ways

What if the Cowboys get healthy, peek at the right time, and win a Super Bowl?

Hypotheticals work both ways!

Yes of course they do. There are millions of hypothetical than can be asked about the outcome of the season, but I am curious about the conversations about Dak and Jalen Hurts. Do you think people will start a rivalry? Will Hurts overtake Dak as the next mid season MVP candidate? Will the conversations turn to the Cowboys made a mistake signing Dak, like the Rams did with Goff and the Eagles with Wentz? Remember, a hypothetical question is not about what is going to happen, it is a "what if".

Many factors come into play for objective and informed fans, injuries, turnovers, missed blocks, bad QB play, bad coaching decisions etc......I.. wouldn't be able to answer that question until after the fact.....
