He delivered in clutch to force overtime. The numbers you reference are what brought this team back from an early 11 point deficit, even when the defense was playing like hot garbage and the kicker was leaving points on the field. Yes, he missed a pass. Every QB misses passes. The old Dak has 17 come from behind wins. One play or even a couple of games don't dictate that he doesn't perform when he needs to.

Again, I like Dak, I'm not calling for him to be replaced but he is just a good QB not a great one, he has not shown me that he can go win you a championship... there are just too many of the bad games that will derail any run the Cowboys make, it only takes one.
And the Cowboys were in an 11 point deficit because they weren't scoring, that wasn't totally on the defense... he had a really good 4th quarter, 3 bad or subpar quarters then an bad OT 3 and out on what was an easy throw for the first down.
I didn't make the comments to just bash on Dak, I just stated that he was part of the problem in this game and he was regardless if you saw it that way or not, Brown the kicker the coordinators were just as big of reasons for the lose and I stated that.

Coaching played a part in this loss:
"Never take points off the board" -Tom Landry

We made the extra point and then took it off the board to go for 2. Our kicker would have kicked the winning field goal with 25 seconds left instead of the tying field goal.
Except we wouldn’t have gone for (and made) the 2-pointer later. It made no difference in the end. The missed XP, on the other hand….

Good news is that the next game is against the Saints, who are even more clueless right now than the Cowboys. But, at this current level of play, DAL will be fighting for their lives vs. PHL & WAS, and could easily drop the next one to the Giants. Much of this state of disarray can be laid at the hands of a coaching staff unable to scheme & adjust to injuries to key players. The O-line adjustments - weeks late already - helped keep this game competitive to the end. But, there was no plan on the OC end to adapt to the absence of Lamb & Cooper. There is no will to run the ball

Doubt we lose in the division with Lamb, Coop, Lawrence, Gregory all back. We've seen this team with our top 3 WR's for 1.5 games. Silver lining is we're better for our depth/back ups having to step up. As far as the "we don't run" argument, the stats are very misleading. The problem is DRIVE SUSTAINABILITY/3rd down conversions. Guess what happens when you go 3 and out, commit penalties and don't execute on 3rd down? You can't run because there's no drive! No rhythm!

Ummm…. The kick was short of the end zone.

"In order to qualify as a fair catch, the ball must be caught within the return team's 25-yard line. When caught, the fair catch results in a touchback and the offense begins play on the 25-yard line"

So it doesn't have to be in the end zone.

Need to start giving the ball more to pollard! Give him some reps in big drives, he would of got that first down on the screen to zeke in OT!

Agreed. Seems like Zeke is worth 1 to 3 yds on a play, whether it's a screen, handoff, what ever so when you're 3rd and 8 or more, why give it to Zeke? His 1-3 yd gain is not going to help. Give it to Pollard!
Pollard may not make it either, but at least Pollard has a chance!
Dumb calls like that are on KM's head. *SMH*

Most of us shouldn't be mad since most voted 11-6 or worse. We're still on par for that record.
You think? We have no chance against AZ. That's 5 losses. Eagles beat us in Philly week17. That's 6. And we'll throw at least one more stinker, maybe 2. I see 10-7, or 9-8 if the Giants or WFT get lucky. Should be good enough for a wild card and a quick exit at GB or Tampa.

Yeah it used to be an advantage. They’d play home then home again on TG then 5 days off.

League screws us now with away, TG, then a Thursday again.
Two away games around three Thanksgiving game. Its not good. The time has come

Zurlein and Brown lost us this game. We played like garbage but was winnable.
They weren't the only ones.
There's a guy who signed a $160,000,000.00 contract few months ago. It seems he can't complete a simple 10out pass while on the run to keep the drive going, in OT.
Nope. He decides that a good pass is to throw it low and behind a wide open receiver.

OK.. so here it is
Dak is a bus driver QB who now doesn't have the benefit of an all-pro OLine. So teams sit on the line.. hold up our receivers for half a beat and bam.. they will either swallow up the runner or get home for the sack. Dak panics if there isn't a receiver 10 yards open and will either take the sack or dump it off to the sideline.

I realise Dakstans will dispute this.. but watch out game tape. he has done this since his rookie year.

So why do we win with Dak? We win when we come up against bad defences.. we win because guys like Cooper and Lamb make huge YAC or hit 'big plays' often enough for us to win.. or our run game runs over top of people. It is no surprise that during our win streak we were over 160 yards of rushing average.

SO we are going to keep losing until we go back to what made us successful - the run.. and that only works if Zeke gets healthy and interested again.

Reasons we lost today:
- Missing PAT.. put us 'chasing points' all day
- Missing the 2 pt conversion (NOT the fact we attempted) because we went for a stupid play call that required our worst blocker to be successful. PUNCH IT IN from the 1 yard line.
- Dak being unable to hit receivers
- Zeke being injured
- The refs calling some really bad calls against us
- Brown being targetted by Raiders and the Refs
- Our OC doesn't know how to scheme a running game
- our HC doesn't know how to control the clock or game management
- Dak being unable to hit receivers
- Our defence being too aggressive looking for takeaways on every play

Reasons we deserved to win today:
- Parsons. That is all.

And this right here. I lost my **** AFTER we made the extra point but yet went for 2 after the penalty. Fat Mike is not it

Dak is not Elite! You can sugarcoat it all you want with your homer glasses on. He is ok to good but not Elite. May win a playoff game some year but I don't see him winning a SB.

Understood. That said, I'd wager this team doesn't play ANY games here on out at full-strength. Who does at this point in the season? Multiple top-players are going to be out each week. A coaching staff has to have a "Plan B" for that inevitability. It just doesn't seem like this one has managed to put one together to effectively deal with those speed bumps. Most notably, perhaps, on the O-line; playing guys out of position, etc.

We can agree to disagree and that's fine. Wasn't his best outing but considering the circumstances I can't justify labeling him part of the problem. Last week, sure. Denver, yep. Not today. There's plenty of season left and the offense should be plenty dynamic with two major playmakers coming back and opening up the passing game. Nothing against Gallup. I like the guy and think he can be a great #2 but I'm seeing alot of Alvin Harper in him. Great deep threat but limited route tree and inconsistent at best at beating coverages. The only QB I've seen play at a consistent elite level with subpar receivers is Tom Brady earlier in his career and that guy is just a freak of nature. Manning had Harrison. ARod has Adams, Aikman had Irvin, Tony had Dez, etc etc.
